DFI ASL051-TTD-x7835RE Intel Atom x7835RE 2.5″ Pico-ITX SBC with Dual 2.5GbE and -40 to 85 °C

Traffic cabinets, rail and vehicle enclosures and outdoor kiosks combine wide temperature swings with little room, and the software they run keeps growing. The ASL051-TTD-x7835RE brings eight cores to that envelope as the top Amston Lake build of the DFI ASL051 series, a 2.5″ Pico-ITX SBC rated from -40 to 85 °C.

The Intel Atom x7835RE has eight cores clocked from 1.3 to 3.6 GHz at a 12 W TDP, which suits multi-camera gateways, protocol conversion with local analytics, or an HMI running alongside data logging. A single DDR5 SO-DIMM socket takes up to 16 GB at 4800 MHz, and Intel UHD Graphics decodes HEVC, VP9, AV1 and AVC in hardware.

Two 2.5GbE ports on Intel I226V controllers can split camera traffic from the uplink. HDMI at up to 4096 x 2160 at 24 Hz and dual-channel LVDS at up to 1920 x 1200 drive two displays, for example a driver panel and a maintenance screen. Two USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A ports sit on the edge, with two USB 2.0 ports, two RS-232/422/485 ports and 8-bit DIO on headers. Three M.2 sockets take Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, 4G or 5G through the B-key socket with its nano SIM slot, and a 2242 SSD.

The board runs from 12 V DC on a terminal block and carries CE, FCC, UKCA and RoHS compliance, with support for Windows 10 and 11 IoT Enterprise LTSC and Linux. For the same -40 to 85 °C range at lower power, the ASL051-TTD-x7433RE runs four cores at 9 W and the ASL051-TTD-x7211RE two cores at 6 W. Indoor projects that need eight cores can use the ASL051-BCD-N355 at -5 to 65 °C.
