DFI CMS310-W480ENRM Intel Xeon W and 10th Gen Core Micro-ATX Industrial Motherboard with W480E Chipset, Dual LAN and Four Expansion Slots

The CMS310-W480ENRM is the W480E build of the CMS310 series, a Micro-ATX industrial motherboard that accepts Intel Xeon W-1200E processors and ECC DDR4 as well as 10th Gen Intel Core.

The LGA1200 socket takes Xeon W-1290E, W-1270E and W-1250E processors at 95 W or 80 W, and their 35 W TE versions, plus Core i3, i5, i7 and i9 from the four-core i3-10100E to the 10-core i9-10900E, with DFI rating the socket up to 125 W. Pentium and Celeron are not supported on this chipset. Four DDR4 2933 MHz DIMM slots take up to 128 GB, with ECC on Xeon and Core i3. Intel UHD Graphics drives DP++, HDMI and VGA as three independent displays, and Intel AMT on the I219LM port supports remote management with Xeon, Core i5, i7 and i9.

Two PCIe x16 Gen3 slots run as x16 or x8/x8 beside two PCIe x4 Gen3 slots, so a GPU and a frame grabber can share the board with a motion or I/O card. Storage covers an M.2 M-key socket for PCIe x4 NVMe or SATA SSDs and four SATA 3.0 ports with RAID 0, 1, 5 and 10, and an M.2 E-key socket takes Wi-Fi. The rear panel has two USB 3.2 Gen 2 and four USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A ports and two GbE ports, with four GbE by request; headers add two USB 3.2 Gen 2, four USB 2.0, four COM ports and 16-bit digital I/O.

The CMS310-W480ENRM runs from a standard ATX supply over 24-pin and 8-pin connectors across -5 to 65 °C, with an active CPU cooler, optional TPM 2.0, a watchdog timer and CE, FCC, UKCA, UL and RoHS compliance. If the build does not need Xeon or ECC, or a Pentium or Celeron would do, the CMS310-Q470ENRM keeps the same slots and I/O on the Q470E chipset.
