DFI EC70A-TGU4024-I7E-8 Intel 11th Gen Core i7-1185G7E Fanless Computer with 4x GbE and 4x COM

Some installations need a separate Ethernet port for every network the computer touches: machines, cameras, the plant and a service connection. The EC70A-TGU4024-I7E-8 is the Intel Core i7-1185G7E build of the DFI EC70A-TGU series with four GbE ports, four COM ports and Iris Xe graphics, in a fanless computer on 9 to 36 V DC.

The Intel Core i7-1185G7E is four cores and eight threads at up to 4.4 GHz and 15 W, so the computer runs without a fan. Intel Iris Xe Graphics drive two HDMI ports at 4096 x 2160 at 30 Hz and a VGA port at 1920 x 1200 at 60 Hz for three displays, with hardware decode for AV1, H.265 and H.264. Memory is 8 GB on-board plus one DDR4 SO-DIMM slot, and TPM 2.0 and a watchdog timer are built in. we supply it with Windows 11 IoT or Linux, with the Intel OpenVINO toolkit ready for vision inference.

This build has four GbE ports and two USB 3.1 Type-A ports on the rear. COM1 and COM2 are RS-232/422/485 and COM4 is RS-232, all on DB9 at the front, and COM3 at the rear is RS-232 or 8-bit DIO by jumper. An M.2 2280 M key takes a PCIe x4 NVMe SSD, an M.2 3042/3052 B key takes an optional 4G or 5G module, and an M.2 2230 E key takes optional Wi-Fi.

Power is 9 to 36 V DC on a DC jack, which suits 12 V and 24 V cabinet supplies. The EC70A-TGU4024-I7E-8 runs fanless from -20 °C to 60 °C with a wide-temperature SSD, mounts on a wall, a VESA bracket or a DIN rail, and is tested to IEC 60068-2-27 shock and IEC 60068-2-64 vibration. DFI lists CE, FCC Class A, UKCA, UL, CCC and RoHS. The EC70A-TGU4024-I5E-8 has the Core i5 in the same build, and the EC70A-TGU4043-I7E-8 trades one GbE port for two more USB ports.
