DFI EHL051-TCD-6413E Quad-Core Intel Atom x6413E 2.5″ Pico-ITX SBC with Dual GbE and Extended Temperature

A cold store HMI or an outdoor information panel needs a quick interface, but the enclosure may only shed a few watts of heat. The EHL051-TCD-6413E is the 9 W quad-core build in the DFI EHL051 series of 2.5″ Pico-ITX SBCs, pairing a modest power budget with burst clocks up to 3.0 GHz.

The Intel Atom x6413E (Elkhart Lake) has four cores at 1.5 GHz with bursts to 3.0 GHz and a 9 W TDP, so short bursts of work finish quickly while the average heat load stays low. One DDR4 3200 MHz SO-DIMM takes up to 32 GB with in-band ECC. Intel UHD Graphics drives HDMI at up to 4096 x 2160 and dual-channel 18/24-bit LVDS at 1920 x 1200, two displays at once, with hardware decode for H.264 and H.265.

Networking is two GbE ports on Intel I226 controllers. Two rear USB 3.2 Gen 2 ports and two internal USB 2.0 headers take touch controllers, scanners and storage, and two RS-232/422/485 ports with 8-bit DIO connect temperature controllers, door switches and alarms. An M.2 E-key takes Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, an M.2 B-key takes a cellular module with its SIM slot or an SSD, and one SATA 3.0 port adds a drive.

The EHL051-TCD-6413E runs from 12 V DC on a 2-pin terminal block and operates from -40 to 85 °C on its fanless heatsink, with CE, FCC, UKCA, RoHS and KC compliance, TPM 2.0 and a 1 to 255 second watchdog. The EHL051-TCD-6416RE is the 9 W RE alternative at a fixed 1.7 GHz, and EHL051-TCD-6425E raises the budget to 12 W for faster sustained work.
