DFI GH171-V1202B AMD Ryzen Embedded V1202B (V1000 Series) Mini-ITX Mainboard with Dual GbE and Quad Display

Digital signage players, thin clients and ticket kiosks usually spend their time decoding video and drawing a user interface, not crunching numbers. The GH171-V1202B covers that work at 15 W, making it the lowest-power V1000 build in the GH171 series while keeping four display outputs on the same 170 x 170 mm Mini-ITX board.

Its AMD Ryzen Embedded V1202B has two cores and four threads at 2.3 GHz, with boost to 3.2 GHz and three Radeon Vega compute units. Hardware decode for H.265, H.264, VP9 and MPEG-2 keeps playback off the cores, and four DP++ outputs drive independent displays at up to 4096 x 2160 at 60 Hz. Two DDR4 3200 SO-DIMM slots take up to 32 GB, sized to the application.

The rear panel has two GbE ports on Realtek RTL8111HN controllers, two USB 3.0 and two USB 2.0 Type-A ports, two DB-9 serial ports (one RS-232/422/485, one RS-232) and audio jacks. Inside are four RS-232 headers, four USB 2.0 and a vertical USB 3.0 Type-A connector for a license dongle. The PCIe x16 Gen3 slot runs at x8 signal, the M.2 M-key 2280 socket runs NVMe at PCIe x4 Gen3, and two SATA 3.0 ports are available.

Power is a single 12 V DC input on a 4-pin connector or DC barrel jack, and the GH171-V1202B runs from 0 to 60 °C with an active cooler, TPM 2.0 and CE, FCC, UKCA and RoHS compliance.
