DFI GHF51-BN-46R15 AMD Ryzen Embedded R1505G Femto-ITX Embedded Board with 4GB DDR4 Memory and 64GB eMMC

A menu board or queue display usually shows a looping video on one screen and live information on a second, and the player has to sit out of sight behind the panel. The GHF51-BN-46R15 is a 1.8″ Femto-ITX embedded board from the DFI GHF51 series, built around the AMD Ryzen Embedded R1505G, and it drives both screens from a board only 84 x 55 mm.

The R1505G runs at 2.4 GHz with a 12 W TDP, and its AMD Radeon Vega graphics (three compute units) decode and encode H.265 and decode VP9 in hardware, which keeps video playback off the processor. Memory is 4 GB of single-channel DDR4 at 2400 MHz soldered to the board, and 64 GB of eMMC holds the operating system and media. DFI lists Windows 10 IoT Enterprise 64-bit and Linux support, with a firmware TPM 2.0.

Two HDMI 1.4b outputs run at up to 4096 x 2160 at 24 Hz. One GbE port on an Intel I211AT controller fetches content and reports status, and a USB 3.1 Gen 2 Type-C port takes a touch controller, camera or USB storage. A full-size mini PCIe socket with PCIe and USB 2.0 signals can hold a Wi-Fi module, and an 8-bit DIO header reads buttons or switches indicator lights.

The GHF51-BN-46R15 runs from 12 V DC on a terminal block and cools through a passive heatsink, with an operating range of 0 to 60 °C for indoor installations. It carries CE, FCC, UKCA and RoHS compliance. For the highest clock in the series, the GHF51-BN-46R16 uses the R1606G at 2.6 GHz, and the GHF51-BN-46R11 runs the R1102G at 6 W where power and heat budgets are tight.
