DFI GHF51-BN-86R16 AMD Ryzen Embedded R1606G (R1000 Series) 1.8″ Femto-ITX SBC with 8GB DDR4 Memory and 64GB eMMC

Modern signage players and HMIs often run a full web browser, a container runtime or a local database, and 4 GB fills quickly once all three are loaded. The GHF51-BN-86R16 is the 8 GB build of the DFI GHF51 series, a 1.8″ Femto-ITX SBC that gives heavier software room to run on a board just 84 x 55 mm.

It uses the AMD Ryzen Embedded R1606G at 2.6 GHz and 12 W TDP, the highest base clock in the series, with AMD Radeon Vega graphics on three compute units for hardware H.265 encode and decode and VP9 decode. The 8 GB of single-channel DDR4 at 2400 MHz is soldered to the board, and 64 GB of eMMC stores the operating system and content. Windows 10 IoT Enterprise 64-bit and Linux are supported, and a firmware TPM 2.0 is included.

Two HDMI 1.4b outputs drive screens at up to 4096 x 2160 at 24 Hz, for a main display and a second screen, such as a menu board beside a promotional panel. One GbE port on an Intel I211AT controller and a USB 3.1 Gen 2 Type-C port handle networking and peripherals, a full-size mini PCIe socket can take a Wi-Fi module, and an 8-bit DIO header connects buttons, sensors or indicators.

The GHF51-BN-86R16 runs from 12 V DC on a terminal block and cools passively, with an operating range of 0 to 60 °C and CE, FCC, UKCA and RoHS compliance. If 4 GB is enough, the GHF51-BN-46R16 has the same processor, and the GHF51-EN-46R16 adds -20 to 70 °C operation for unheated sites.
