DMM-32X-AT Overview
Long-running PC/104 measurement systems need a replacement board that slots in without rewriting the application. The DMM-32X-AT is Diamond Systems’ 32-channel PC/104 data acquisition module, described by Diamond as a compatible upgrade for the DMM-32-AT, with 16-bit inputs, 12-bit outputs and the company’s patented auto-autocalibration.
The 32 inputs can be configured as 32 single-ended, 16 differential or a mix, with bipolar ranges from ±10 V down to ±0.625 V and unipolar ranges from 0-10 V down to 0-0.625 V. Sampling reaches 250 kHz, and a three-stage timing system triggers the A/D by software, on-board clock or external signal, then samples one channel, round robin or a full scan. A 1,024-sample FIFO with a programmable interrupt threshold handles transfer to memory. Auto-autocalibration recalibrates the board as temperature changes, holding accuracy to within ±1 LSB typical.
Four 12-bit analog outputs cover ±5 V, ±10 V, 0-5 V and 0-10 V and can update together, with a 1,024-sample waveform buffer at up to 100 kHz. Digital I/O adds 24 buffered lines, programmable in groups of eight with jumper-selectable pull-up or pull-down resistors and ESD protection, plus four auxiliary inputs and outputs, a 32-bit pacer clock and a 16-bit counter/timer. The DMM-32DX-AT fits 16-bit outputs, and the RMM-1616A-XT adds 16 analog outputs where inputs are already covered.
The DMM-32X-AT runs from +5 V at 410 mA typical and is tested and guaranteed from -40 to +85 °C, with ±35 V input protection. Jumpers can be replaced with 0-ohm resistors for high-vibration installs, conformal coating and latching connectors are options, and the Universal Driver supports Linux, RT Linux, Windows, Windows CE, VxWorks, QNX and DOS.

Official Diamond Systems USA Distributor
Things Embedded is an official Diamond Systems USA distributor, supplying the DMM-32X-AT as Diamond builds it and specifying it for USA test, transport and defense programs. It fits the PC/104 ISA bus of an ATHENA IV SBC, and a GPIO-MM-XT module can add digital I/O and counter/timers to the same stack.
The DMM-32X-AT belongs with our PC/104 boards and modules, our analog I/O modules and our data acquisition modules. Where an existing DMM-32-AT design needs a compatible board with 32 auto-calibrated inputs, this is the model to specify.
