Diamond Systems JETBOX FLOYD-SC : JB-FLDSC-NAO-02 NVIDIA Jetson Nano 4GB Fanless DIN Rail Embedded PC with 16GB eMMC and M.2

The JB-FLDSC-NAO-02 is the Jetson Nano model in the Diamond Systems JETBOX FLOYD-SC series, a fanless DIN rail embedded PC with HDMI, DisplayPort, one Gigabit Ethernet port, two serial ports and eight screw-terminal GPIO. It suits low-power vision, monitoring and gateway tasks in control cabinets from -25 to +80 °C.

  • NVIDIA Jetson Nano 4GB: The Nano module brings a quad-core Arm Cortex-A57 CPU and 4 GB of memory for lower-power inference.
  • Internal M.2 NVMe up to 2 TB: An internal M.2 2280/2242 NVMe socket adds storage beyond the Nano's built-in flash for video and log data.
  • HDMI, DisplayPort and Single GbE: Two display outputs and one Gigabit Ethernet port cover an operator screen and the plant network.
  • Screw-Terminal GPIO and Two Serial: Eight GPIO on a screw terminal block at 3.3 V or 5 V, with one RS-232 and one RS-232/485 port.
  • Fanless DIN Rail, -25 to +80 °C: The steel and aluminum enclosure mounts on a DIN rail, accepts 7-24 V DC and needs no fan.

JB-FLDSC-NAO-02 Overview

Plenty of cabinet AI jobs, such as counting parts or reading a gauge, run happily on the smallest Jetson module and simply need it to fit on the rail. The Diamond Systems JB-FLDSC-NAO-02 is a DIN rail embedded PC in the JETBOX FLOYD-SC series that pairs the Jetson module with Diamond’s Floyd SC carrier board, in a fanless steel and aluminum enclosure with shelf and DIN rail mounting.

The Jetson Nano 4GB module brings a quad-core Arm Cortex-A57 CPU and an NVIDIA GPU, with built-in flash that holds the preprogrammed JetPack-based Linux OS. It keeps power draw low inside a sealed cabinet while running classification, detection on a few streams and sensor processing.

The front panel of the JB-FLDSC-NAO-02 carries HDMI and DisplayPort, one Gigabit Ethernet port, one USB 3.0 and two USB 2.0 ports, one RS-232 port and one RS-232/485 port on DB9, and eight GPIO lines on an 11-position screw terminal block that can run at 3.3 V or 5 V. An internal M.2 NVMe socket adds up to 2 TB of storage beyond the module’s flash, for video, logs or data sets.

Power on the JB-FLDSC-NAO-02 is a 7-24 V DC input, and a 12 V AC adapter is included for bench work. The integrated heat sink cover cools the module without a fan, and the system supports -25 to +80 °C operation across the full range of the Jetson modules. For more compute, see the JB-FLDSC-TNX-02 with Jetson TX2 NX or the JB-FLDSC-XNX-02 with Jetson Xavier NX.

Official Diamond Systems USA Distributor

Things Embedded is an official Diamond Systems USA distributor, supplying the JB-FLDSC-NAO-02 with the Jetson module and Linux image installed and tested. The JETBOX-FLOYD takes the same Nano module with PoE+ and dual HDMI in a larger box, and the ZIGGYBOX offers Jetson TX2 and TX2i with built-in data acquisition. Within the JETBOX FLOYD-SC range, the Nano, TX2 NX and Xavier NX builds share the same enclosure, front panel and Floyd SC BB02 carrier, so moving up a module later keeps the same mounting, cabling and screw-terminal wiring in the cabinet.

Across our range, the JB-FLDSC-NAO-02 sits with our DIN rail PCs and our Jetson Nano computers, and its fanless enclosure places it among our fanless PCs. It suits low-power cabinet tasks such as part counting, gauge reading and condition monitoring, where the smallest module is enough and heat must stay low. Its 7-24 V DC input and small footprint let it share a rail with existing PLCs, relays and power supplies.
