Forecr DSBOARD-NX2-AD NVIDIA Jetson TX2 NX Industrial Carrier Board with GbE, CAN Bus and Two CSI Cameras

TX2 NX products sit between the Nano and Xavier NX, and their owners usually want a like-for-like carrier rather than a requalification. The DSBOARD-NX2-AD fits the NVIDIA Jetson TX2 NX module to the Forecr DSBOARD-NX2 industrial carrier board.

The TX2 NX brings a 256-core Pascal GPU, a dual Denver 2 plus quad Cortex-A57 CPU and 4 GB of LPDDR4, and it enables the CAN bus. The DSBOARD-NX2-AC steps up to the Xavier NX at 21 TOPS, and the DSBOARD-NX2-AB fits the Jetson Nano. Cameras connect to two 2-lane MIPI CSI-2 inputs on 15-pin 1.0 mm FPC connectors, which Forecr describes as Raspberry Pi camera compatible. There is no GMSL on this board.

The DSBOARD-NX2-AD handles data and display over one Gigabit Ethernet port, two USB 3.1 Type-A ports and HDMI 2.0 at 3840 x 2160, with a microUSB recovery port and a 3.3 V debug UART. A pluggable terminal carries a software-configurable RS232/422/485 port, two digital inputs and three digital outputs. Storage is the module’s 16 GB eMMC plus an M.2 Key-M 2280 NVMe slot and microSD, and M.2 Key-E and Key-B sockets with a SIM slot take Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, LTE or 5G.

Power comes in at 9-28 V DC on a 4-pin pluggable terminal, a 5 V fan header supports active cooling, the 100 x 100 mm board is rated from -25 to +85 °C, and Forecr lists Ubuntu 18.04 and 20.04 with JetPack 4.x and 5.x. Forecr lists the DSBOARD-NX2 as end-of-life; we still supply it while stock lasts. The DSBOARD-NX2-AD is best kept for TX2 NX designs already in service.
