Forecr MILBOARD-THR-T5000 NVIDIA Jetson T5000 Military-Grade Rugged Carrier Board with Quad 10GbE and Isolated CAN FD

Sensor fusion in a vehicle, aircraft or vessel needs the largest Thor module, but the integrator still has to build the enclosure, wiring and sealing around it. The MILBOARD-THR-T5000 fits the NVIDIA Jetson T5000 module to the Forecr MILBOARD-THR rugged carrier board.

The T5000 brings 128 GB of LPDDR5X, and Forecr rates the board at 2070 TFLOPS for inference and multi-sensor processing on the board itself. The MILBOARD-THR-T4000 fits the 64 GB T4000 where the models are smaller. Cameras connect through a camera expansion slot with a 120-pin Samtec connector for Forecr’s optional GMSL2 or analog video add-on boards, so GMSL2 is not on the carrier itself. Two 3G-SDI outputs are optional through the expansion slots.

Every interface on the MILBOARD-THR-T5000 sits on locking Samtec board-to-board connectors for the enclosure maker to break out: four 10GBASE-T Ethernet links, three USB 3.2 ports and two HDMI 2.1 outputs. The low-speed connector carries four isolated CAN FD ports, four isolated RS-232/422/485 ports and eight isolated 3.3 V digital I/O lines. Storage runs to three NVMe SSDs on M.2 Key-M 2280 slots at PCIe Gen5 x4, x2 and x1, and an expansion header adds PCIe x1, USB 2.0, I2C, I2S, SPI and GPIO.

Power comes in at 18-36 V DC on a 4-pin header, the 150 x 140 mm board is rated from -40 to +85 °C and 5 to 95 % non-condensing humidity, and it carries TPM 2.0, a 6-axis IMU, a temperature sensor and an RTC. Forecr lists Ubuntu 24.04 with JetPack 7.x, and supplies the board to defense companies and system integrators after an eligibility check. The MILBOARD-THR-T5000 suits defense, aerospace, marine and transport programs where the T5000 memory sets the requirement.
