Giada DN25 Raspberry Pi CM5 (BCM2712) Digital Signage Player with Dual 4K HDMI

The DN25 is a Giada fanless digital signage player on the Raspberry Pi CM5 Lite, with a quad Cortex-A76 BCM2712, two 4K HDMI outputs and onboard Wi-Fi. It suits signage teams that already build on Raspberry Pi OS and want the same software in a metal, mountable player.

  • Raspberry Pi CM5 Lite: A Broadcom BCM2712 with four Cortex-A76 cores and VideoCore VII graphics, running Raspberry Pi OS.
  • Dual 4K HDMI Output: Two HDMI 2.0 outputs at up to 3840 x 2160 at 60 Hz let one player drive two screens.
  • Onboard Wi-Fi and Bluetooth: Dual-band Wi-Fi and Bluetooth are onboard, alongside one Gigabit Ethernet port for wired content updates.
  • Four USB and RS232: Three USB 3.2 Gen1 ports, one USB 2.0 port and one RS232 port on DB9 for touch overlays and screen control.

DN25 Overview

Plenty of signage software is now written for Raspberry Pi OS, but a bare board behind a screen is hard to mount, secure and support. The Giada DN25 puts a Raspberry Pi CM5 Lite in a fanless metal player with two 4K HDMI outputs and onboard Wi-Fi, so the same software runs in a unit built for signage. For Android signage apps, the DN84-4G and DN83 use Rockchip processors instead.

The CM5 Lite is built on the Broadcom BCM2712 with four Cortex-A76 cores and VideoCore VII graphics. On the DN25 that drives two HDMI 2.0 outputs at up to 3840 x 2160 at 60 Hz, so one player can run two screens. It has 4 GB of onboard LPDDR4 and 32 GB of eMMC, with 64 GB of eMMC optional, and runs Raspberry Pi OS.

Dual-band Wi-Fi and Bluetooth are onboard, and one Gigabit Ethernet port on a Broadcom BCM54210 handles wired content updates. Three USB 3.2 Gen1 ports and one USB 2.0 port cover touch overlays, keyboards and USB media, one RS232 port on DB9 handles screen control, and a two-in-one headset jack carries audio. There is no mobile network slot, so plan on Ethernet or Wi-Fi for connectivity.

The DN25 is fanless and runs from 0 °C to 45 °C with 0.7 m/s airflow and up to 95% non-condensing humidity, from a 12 V DC adapter, with watchdog and auto power-on for unattended restarts. Giada lists CE, FCC Class B and UKCA, and an optional VESA kit mounts the player behind a display. We supply it with its Raspberry Pi OS image loaded and the player tested before it ships.
