Giada DN84-8G Rockchip RK3576 Android Digital Signage Player with 6 TOPS NPU and 8GB RAM

Many signage networks now run on Android apps rather than a full PC, which keeps the player simple to manage and quiet behind the screen. The Giada DN84-8G is a fanless Android digital signage player on the Rockchip RK3576, with 8 GB of onboard memory, two HDMI outputs and onboard Wi-Fi. It is part of the DN84 series, where the DN84-4G and DN84-I-8G use the same hardware with a different memory size or display option.

The RK3576 combines four Cortex-A72 and four Cortex-A53 cores at a 6 W TDP with a Mali-G52 MC3 GPU and a 6 TOPS NPU that supports INT4 to FP16 and BF16 models. On the DN84-8G that runs Android 14 or Debian 12 with 8 GB of onboard LPDDR4 and 64 GB of eMMC, with 128 GB of eMMC optional and an M.2 2242 PCIe 2.1 x1 slot for an SSD when content libraries grow.

Display output is two HDMI outputs, one at up to 3840 x 2160 at 60 Hz and one at up to 2560 x 1600 at 60 Hz. There is one Gigabit Ethernet port, with a second RJ45 optional, and dual-band Wi-Fi and Bluetooth onboard. An M.2 B-Key slot with a SIM socket takes an optional 4G module. Three USB 3.2 Gen1 ports and one USB 2.0 OTG port cover touch overlays and USB media, one RS232 port handles screen control, with a further RS232 and two RS485 optional, and a two-in-one headset jack carries audio.

The DN84-8G is fanless, rated from 0 °C to 45 °C with 0.7 m/s airflow and up to 95% non-condensing humidity, and runs from a lockable 12 V DC input so the lead stays in place behind a screen. Giada lists CE, FCC Class B and UKCA, and optional VESA and wall kits mount the player behind a display. We supply it with its Android or Linux image loaded and the player tested before it ships.
