Neousys NRU-171V-PPC-JONX-8GB 10.1″ IP66 Edge AI Panel PC with NVIDIA Jetson Orin NX 8GB and 6x GMSL2

An outdoor camera inspection station on a farm or quarry needs AI compute and a screen that can be left in the weather. The NRU-171V-PPC-JONX-8GB is the six-camera GMSL2 build with the NVIDIA Jetson Orin NX 8GB in the Neousys NRU-170-PPC series: a 10.1 inch Edge AI Panel PC sealed to IP66 against water and dust, with M12 connectors throughout.

The NVIDIA Jetson Orin NX 8GB module carries 8 GB of LPDDR5 at 3200 MHz and ships with NVIDIA JetPack. The 8GB Orin NX is a good fit where the models are fixed and budget matters. The Orin NX runs without throttling at 60 °C in 25 W MAXN mode. Storage is an M.2 2242 NVMe SSD. The 10.1 inch display runs at 1920 x 1200 (WUXGA) with 1000 nits brightness and 1000:1 contrast, optically bonded with anti-glare and anti-fingerprint glass, and single-finger touch keeps working when the screen is wet.

Six waterproof GMSL2 inputs on FAKRA Z connectors take six IMX390 2MP or ISX031 3MP cameras, or four IMX490 5MP cameras, at 30 fps, with one GbE port on an M12 X-coded connector for the network. Two USB 2.0 ports, one RS-232 port, one CAN FD port and an isolated GPS PPS input sit on M12 A-coded connectors. A mini-PCIe socket takes CAN, COM or Wi-Fi modules and an M.2 B-key socket with dual micro-SIM takes 4G LTE or 5G NR. The NRU-172S-PPC-JONX-8GB swaps the camera inputs for four PoE+ GbE ports, and the NRU-171V-PPC-JONX-16GB uses the Jetson Orin NX 16GB.

Power is 8 to 35 V DC on an M12 A-coded connector with built-in ignition power control, which suits vehicles where the computer follows the key. The NRU-171V-PPC-JONX-8GB is fanless and operates from -25 to 60 °C with passive cooling, with a wide-temperature SSD needed below 0 °C or above 60 °C, and it is tested to MIL-STD-810H for shock and vibration. It carries CE and FCC Class A marks. It measures 257 x 176 x 65 mm, weighs 3.8 kg and mounts on VESA 75.
