NRU-222S Overview
On a tractor, an excavator or a mining truck, RJ45 plugs and terminal blocks can work loose long before the computer itself has a problem. The NRU-222S is an AI NVR from the Neousys NRU-220S series that moves every Ethernet port and the power input to locking M12 connectors, while keeping the NVIDIA Jetson AGX Orin inside.
The NRU-222S takes a Jetson AGX Orin 32GB, 64GB or Industrial module, with an Ampere GPU of up to 2048 CUDA cores, 64 Tensor cores, two NVDLA engines and up to 275 TOPS. It can transcode up to twenty-two 1080P streams while running AI models, and ships with JetPack. Up to 64 GB of LPDDR5 and 64 GB of eMMC sit on the module.
All six Ethernet ports use M12 X-coded 8-pin connectors: four 802.3at PoE+ Gigabit ports that share 1 Gbps and a 100 W budget, and two Intel I226-IT/I225-IT 2.5GbE ports. Recordings go to two front-access 2.5″ 7 mm SSD trays, with an M.2 2280 Gen4 x4 NVMe socket for fast storage. One USB 3.2 Gen2 port, two USB 2.0 ports, DisplayPort at 3840 x 2160, one isolated RS-485 and two RS-232 ports, two CAN 2.0 ports for machine buses and 4-channel isolated DI and DO complete the panel, with two mini-PCIe sockets and an M.2 B key socket with dual SIM for Wi-Fi, GNSS, CAN or 4G and 5G.
Power and ignition come in on an M12 A-coded 5-pin connector. Because of the connector current limit, the NRU-222S accepts 8 to 48V DC under 60W of system load and 20 to 48V between 60W and 160W. It runs fanless from -25°C to 70°C with the 32GB and 64GB modules, or -40°C to 75°C with the Industrial module, and meets MIL-STD-810H and IEC 61373 with EN 50121-3 EMC. For RJ45 and terminal block power, see the NRU-220S.

Official Neousys USA Distributor
Things Embedded is an official Neousys USA distributor, supplying Neousys Jetson computers for USA off-highway, rail and transport projects. If the NRU-222S is not quite right, the NRU-230V-AWP / NRU-240S-AWP series keeps Jetson AGX Orin and M12 PoE+ in a sealed IP66 enclosure. The NRU-160-FT series offers Jetson Orin NX and Nano robotics computers, and the NRU-150-FT series uses the Orin NX with 4x 2.5GbE PoE+ in a flattop design.
Across categories, the NRU-222S is listed with our rugged Jetson computers for vehicles and heavy machines. Its M12 connectors are the main reason to choose it over the NRU-220S, because X-coded Ethernet and A-coded power stay locked under constant vibration. Plan the power supply with care, since higher system loads need at least 20V at the M12 input. The two CAN ports connect to machine buses, and the Industrial module option extends operation to -40°C.
