NRU-51V+ Overview
Teleoperated machines and autonomous vehicles need every camera frame captured at the same instant and delivered with minimal delay, whether to an onboard model or a remote driver. The Neousys NRU-51V+ is a rugged fanless camera hub for that work, with four GMSL2 automotive camera inputs synchronized to within microseconds and a GPS PPS input that aligns frames with LiDAR. It is the Jetson Orin version of the NRU-51V series, in a mini PC-sized case.
Compute is an NVIDIA Jetson Orin NX with 8 or 16 GB LPDDR5, or an Orin Nano with 4 or 8 GB, bundled with JetPack 5.1.1. With the Orin NX 16 GB the NRU-51V+ delivers 100 TOPS in a 25 W power envelope, enough for object or region-of-interest detection on board, and its hardware H.264/H.265 encoder can stream all four cameras live over 5G to a remote operator. Every ordering code ships with a 128 GB M.2 2242 NVMe SSD fitted through a mini PCIe adapter.
A 10GBASE-T port can pass raw camera frames to a GPU server for perception, beside a 1GbE port, both with screw locks. The rest of the panel carries two USB 3.1 Gen 1 ports, a DisplayPort output at 3840 x 2160, an RS-232/422/485 port and an isolated CAN 2.0 port on DB9, and three isolated inputs, four isolated outputs and a GPS PPS input on a DB15. A second full-size mini PCIe socket takes a GNSS, V2X or CAN module, and an M.2 B key socket with two micro SIM slots takes a 4G or 5G module. Neousys also lists the NRU-51V+ as compatible with Tier IV C1 automotive cameras.
Power is 8 to 35 V DC on a three-pin terminal block with built-in ignition control. The NRU-51V+ runs fanless from -25 °C to 60 °C in the 15 W mode, to 70 °C with the optional fan kit, and meets MIL-STD-810H for vibration and shock with CE and FCC Class A. The NRU-51V is the Xavier NX version, and the NRU-52S series replaces the cameras with four PoE++ ports.
