Nexcom APPD 1206T 12.1″ Flush Resistive Touch Industrial Monitor with 500 Nit XGA LCD and Front IP65

Where a control cabinet or machine enclosure has no room for a computer behind the screen, the display and the system have to be installed apart, and the display still has to take a touch and a splash. The APPD 1206T is the smallest and brightest model in Nexcom’s APPD range of flush touch monitors: a 12.1 inch industrial touch monitor with a 1024 x 768 XGA LCD at 500 nits behind a flush 5-wire resistive touch panel, set in an IP65-compliant front bezel for panel mounting.

The 12.1 inch LED-backlit LCD runs at 1024 x 768 (XGA) with 500 nits brightness, a 700:1 contrast ratio and viewing angles of 160° horizontally and 140° vertically, showing 16.7 million colors. The flush 5-wire resistive touch panel has 80% light transmission and connects to the host over USB or RS-232, so it works with current industrial PCs and with controllers that expect a serial touch interface.

Video inputs are VGA on a DB15 connector, DVI-D on a DVI-I connector and DisplayPort, which lets the APPD 1206T take a feed from older controllers with analog output as well as current computers. An OSD keypad with a multilanguage on-screen menu sets the picture on site. Nexcom names it as a second display for its NISE fanless computers, NViS surveillance systems and APPC panel PCs. Within the range, the APPD 1501T offers the same flush build at 15 inches with 2500:1 contrast and 176° viewing angles.

Power is 12 to 24 V DC on a three-pin Phoenix terminal block, with an optional 12 V 60 W AC/DC adapter. The APPD 1206T operates from -5 to 50 °C at 10 to 90% humidity, non-condensing, is shock-tested to 20 G under IEC 68-2-27 when wall mounted and vibration-tested from 5 to 500 Hz, and carries CE and FCC Class B marks. It measures 317 x 243 x 53.5 mm, weighs 2.8 kg and fits a 304.5 x 230 mm cut-out in panels up to 5 mm thick, with wall, stand and 100 x 100 mm VESA mounting as alternatives.
