Nexcom NISE 108 Intel Celeron J3455 Compact Fanless Box PC with 2.5-inch Drive Bay and 24 V DC

Control cabinets usually run from a 24 V supply, and the computer inside often has to log data locally and talk to serial devices at the same time. The NISE 108 is a Nexcom Fanless Box PC built around that brief, with a quad-core Intel Celeron J3455, a 2.5 inch drive bay, three COM ports and a 24 V DC input. The Intel Celeron J3455 is an Apollo Lake processor with four cores, and one DDR3L SO-DIMM socket takes up to 8 GB at 1866 MHz. Storage is a 2.5 inch SATA HDD or SSD plus an M.2 2242 SATA module, with no cable connections on the storage. Linux and Windows 10 IoT Enterprise 64-bit are supported on the NISE 108.

Most I/O sits on the front panel: two Intel I210-IT GbE ports with Wake on LAN, teaming and PXE, two USB 3.0 and two USB 2.0 ports, and two DisplayPort outputs for dual independent displays. COM3 supports RS232/422/485 with auto flow control, set in the BIOS without jumpers, and COM1 and COM2 are RS232, with ring and 5 V or 12 V options on COM2. A mini-PCIe socket takes Wi-Fi, 3.5G or 4G, and the NISE 108 also has a three-pin remote power switch.

This Fanless Box PC runs from -5 °C to 55 °C with industrial grade devices, on a 24 V DC input, with an optional 24 V, 60 W adapter. It is rated to 2 Grms vibration with an SSD fitted, in an aluminum and metal case of 185 x 131 x 54 mm, and carries CE and FCC Class A approval.
