V1000 Overview
A video wall, menu board or transit sign often needs four screens running different content, and a separate graphics card adds cost, heat and drivers to the build. The V1000 is Nexcom’s Mini-ITX motherboard on the AMD Ryzen Embedded V1605B, an APU that drives four independent 4K displays over HDMI on its own, which Nexcom positions as an embedded player for retail and public information.
The quad-core V1605B pairs its processor cores with AMD Radeon Vega 8 graphics running at up to 1.1 GHz, and supports HDR displays. Four HDMI 2.0 outputs each run at up to 4096 x 2160 at 60 Hz, which suits multi-screen signage, in-store traffic analytics and interactive retail content. Two 260-pin DDR4-2400 non-ECC SO-DIMM sockets take up to 32 GB, with 16 GB per socket.
I/O covers two Gigabit Ethernet ports on Intel I211-AT controllers with PXE boot and wake on LAN, four USB 3.1 ports on the edge and two USB 2.0 onboard, one RS-232/422/485 port and three RS-232 ports on box headers, a GPIO connector and Realtek ALC892 audio with a rear line-out and an internal mic-in. Storage is an M.2 Key M socket for 2242 or 2280 SATA 3.0 or PCIe NVMe SSDs plus a SATA port with SATA power. An M.2 Key E 2230 socket takes a Wi-Fi module, a PCIe x8 slot takes an add-in card and a TPM 2.0 IC is onboard. The V1100-i7 offers four HDMI on an 11th Gen Intel Core EPIC board, and the X304-Q670W is the Mini-ITX choice for a socketed Intel Core processor.
Power is 12 V DC with a 5% tolerance on a 4-pin DC jack. The V1000 operates from -5 to 60 °C, stores from -20 to 80 °C and handles humidity up to 95%, non-condensing. The board measures 170 x 170 mm in the standard Mini-ITX size and carries CE and FCC marks.

Official NEXCOM USA Distributor
Things Embedded is an official Nexcom USA distributor, supplying the V1000 configured for USA retail and digital signage projects. Within the Nexcom range the V1100-i5 drives four HDMI outputs from an 11th Gen Intel Core i5 on a smaller EPIC board, and the X304 takes 12th and 13th Gen Core processors in an LGA1700 socket.
With four 4K outputs the V1000 sits among our industrial Mini-ITX motherboards, our AMD Ryzen Embedded products and our industrial motherboards. Where a signage player, menu board or retail display needs four independent 4K screens and a PCIe x8 slot without a separate graphics card, this is the model to specify.
