Nexcom XPPC 16-101 15.6″ Slim PCAP Touchscreen Computer with Intel Celeron J3455 and FHD Bonded Display

A hotel check-in screen is the first thing a guest touches, so it needs a sharp image and a responsive surface in a slim casing. The XPPC 16-101 is Nexcom’s 15.6 inch Celeron model in the XPPC range: a 15.6 inch fanless slim touchscreen computer in an enclosed black-silver metal chassis, with a slim-bezel PCAP front that meets IP65 when panel mounted.

An Intel Celeron J3455 runs at 1.50 GHz base with 2 MB cache and Intel HD Graphics 500, which suits check-in, wayfinding and advertising software. One SO-DIMM socket takes up to 8 GB of DDR3L-1866 and an M.2 2242 Key M socket takes a SATA SSD; it ships as a barebone. Windows 10 64-bit and Linux are supported. The 15.6 inch LED-backlit LCD runs at 1920 x 1080 (FHD) at 405 nits with 700:1 contrast and 178° viewing angles, and the 10-point PCAP multi-touch is optically bonded to the LCD behind anti-smudge glass, which cuts reflections.

I/O covers two Gigabit LAN ports, two USB 3.0 and two USB 2.0 ports, a rear RS-232/422/485 port and an optional powered front RS-232 port. Two HDMI 1.4 outputs at up to 3840 x 2160 30 Hz drive further screens, with a line-out for audio. A full-size mini-PCIe socket with a full-size SIM slot takes an optional Wi-Fi or LTE module. For 11th Gen Intel Core processors at the same size, the XPPC 16-200 series offers the XPPC 16-200-i3.

Power is 19 V DC on a screw-locking DC jack, with a 90 W 100 to 240 V AC adapter included. The XPPC 16-101 is fanless, operates from 0 to 50 °C and is shock-tested to 50 g peak under IEC 60068-2-27. It carries CE and FCC Class A marks and meets EN 62368-1 under the LVD. It measures 382.2 x 251.4 x 51.79 mm and weighs 3.0 kg. VESA 100 x 100 mm mounting is standard and the panel cut-out is 370.5 x 240 mm for panels up to 9.5 mm thick, with panel-mount and open-frame kits available as ordering options.
