ZED-X-ONE-S-NARROW Overview
In a pick-and-place cell the camera usually knows where to look: a tray, a feeder or the jaws of a gripper. A narrow view keeps more pixels on that area, which helps a model tell similar parts apart. The Stereolabs ZED-X-ONE-S-NARROW fits a 4.6 mm f/2.0 lens with a 73° horizontal view to the small camera body of the ZED-X-ONE-S series. For broad coverage, the ZED-X-ONE-S-WIDE opens to 110° and the ZED-X-ONE-S-FISHEYE to 204°.
The full field is 73°(H) x 45°(V) x 87°(D). Behind it, a 1/2.6″ 2.3MP sensor uses a global shutter, so every pixel is exposed at the same instant and parts moving under the camera are not skewed. Output runs at 1920 x 1200 at 60 fps, 1920 x 1080 at 60 fps in cropping mode or 960 x 600 at 120 fps in binning mode, with 71.4 dB dynamic range. A Bosch BMI088 six-axis IMU reports at 200 Hz, useful when the camera rides on a moving arm.
Video and power travel over GMSL2 on a lockable FAKRA Z connector, with coax runs of up to 15 m to an NVIDIA Jetson Orin host on Jetson Linux (L4T) v35.1 or newer. Several ZED-X-ONE-S-NARROW cameras can be hardware-synchronised within 15 microseconds when a cell needs more than one viewpoint. On a Jetson AGX Orin, the ZED-LINK-QUAD captures up to eight GMSL2 cameras in SD or HD.
The camera draws a typical 0.89 W over the GMSL2 cable, with a 5 to 20 V supply rating. It is rated from -20 °C to 60 °C, at up to 90% relative humidity at 40 °C, and rated for 2g RMS vibration from 3 to 500 Hz. Mounting is by M2 threads at the front and base, with optional adapter plate, front mount and bottom mount accessories. Stereolabs lists CE, REACH, RoHS, TSCA, EMC and FCC compliance and a two-year warranty. We supply it tested with the cables, capture card and Jetson host for your cell.
