Winmate L156AD-4KM1 15.6″ 4K Rugged Laptop with Intel Core i7-12700H and NVIDIA RTX A1000 GPU

Imagery analysts, surveyors and engineers reviewing plans in the field often need more pixels and more processing than a standard rugged laptop offers. The L156AD-4KM1 is Winmate’s 15.6 inch 4K rugged laptop for that work, with a 3840 x 2160 touch screen, an Intel Core i7-12700H and an NVIDIA RTX A1000 MXM graphics card in an IP65 magnesium alloy enclosure.

The 15.6″ panel shows 3840 x 2160 at 400 nits with 800:1 contrast, optical bonding and PCAP multi-touch. The 12th Gen Core i7-12700H runs at up to 4.7 GHz, with a Core i9 listed as an option, and memory is dual channel from 8+8 GB up to 32+32 GB. Storage is a 128 GB SSD up to 2 TB with an optional second SSD and a microSDXC slot, and it runs Windows 11 IoT Enterprise LTSC with TPM 2.0.

I/O covers two Gigabit LAN ports, a USB 3.0 Type-C port with Alt Mode and Power Delivery, three USB 3.0 Type-A ports and an RS-232/422/485 port on DB9, with optional 4K HDMI output. A smart card reader, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS/GLONASS are standard, with optional 4G LTE, RFID and fingerprint readers. The L156AD-M1 is the full HD version at 800 nits, and the L140AD-4K puts a 14 inch 4K screen on a Core i5-1235U.

The L156AD-4KM1 is IP65 rated, fan cooled and operates from -29 °C to 63 °C. Winmate lists MIL-STD-461G and STANAG 4370 AECTP 501 EMC as standard, shock, vibration and drop from 4 ft to MIL-STD-810H, and TEMPEST as an option. Two hot-swappable batteries are quoted at 11 hours, and a 240 W AC adapter is supplied.
