Winmate M156AD-M3 15.6″ Rugged Tablet PC with Intel Core i5-1235U and NVIDIA RTX A500 MXM Graphics

Mapping, imaging and mission planning software can ask more of a tablet than integrated graphics comfortably give. The M156AD-M3 is Winmate’s 15.6 inch rugged tablet PC for that work, with an Intel Core i5-1235U, an NVIDIA RTX A500 MXM graphics card, a 15.6″ optically bonded touch screen and MIL-STD-461G EMC. Winmate names field service, inspection, factory and mission-critical applications as its uses.

The Core i5-1235U is a 12th Gen Alder Lake processor running at up to 4.4 GHz with Intel Iris Xe graphics, and the M3 build adds the RTX A500 MXM card for heavier graphics loads. Memory is 8+8 GB as standard, with 16+16 GB and 32+32 GB options. Storage is a 128 GB SSD with options to 2 TB, an optional second SSD up to 2 TB and a micro SDXC slot. TPM 2.0 is fitted and the tablet runs Windows 11 IoT Enterprise LTSC. The screen shows 1920 x 1080 at 800 nits with optical bonding and anti-glare treatment, and an optional high-brightness panel at 1000 nits is available.

Two Gigabit LAN ports, three USB 3.0 Type-A ports and a USB-C port with power delivery and display output sit on the tablet, with two optional 4K HDMI outputs. Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS and GLONASS are built in; 4G LTE, 5G and HF RFID are optional. Front and rear cameras are fitted, and a capacitive stylus and top handle come with it. The M156AD is the same 15.6 inch tablet without the graphics option and with a 120 W adapter, and the M116AD is the 11.6 inch model with the same processor.

The M156AD-M3 is sealed to IP65, tested to MIL-STD-810H Methods 516.8 and 514.8 for shock, vibration and a 3 ft drop, and lists MIL-STD-461G EMC. A fan cools it from -20 °C to 60 °C. Two hot-swappable batteries give around 11 hours, and a 230 W adapter feeds the 19 V input; a kickstand, spare battery and charger are optional. We supply it configured, with Windows installed, and tested, ready to deploy.
