Winmate R15ITWS-MHB1-EX 15″ Class I Division 2 HMI Panel PC with Intel Core i5-1135G7 and PCAP Touch

On a process skid in a classified area, the operator screen has to be approved for the location as well as sealed against dust and water at the front. The R15ITWS-MHB1-EX is Winmate’s 15 inch HMI panel PC for these locations: certified for Class I, Division 2, Groups A, B, C and D, with a true flat edge-to-edge front sealed to IP65 and an aluminum, anti-corrosion treated housing.

An Intel Core i5-1135G7 Tiger Lake processor runs at 2.4 GHz with turbo up to 4.2 GHz, and two DDR4-3200 SO-DIMM sockets hold 4 GB as standard and up to 32 GB, enough for SCADA clients and alarm handling. Storage is an M.2 2280 NVMe SSD from 128 GB to 512 GB, with an optional removable 2.5 inch SSD bay so a drive can be changed at the panel, and Windows 10 IoT Enterprise is available. The 15 inch XGA screen shows 1024 x 768 at 300 nits with a 2000:1 contrast ratio and 176° horizontal and vertical viewing angles, under projected capacitive multi-touch.

The I/O covers two Gigabit LAN ports on Intel I211-AT and I219-LM controllers, four USB 3.2 Gen 1 ports, two RS-232/422/485 ports and one RS-232 port, DisplayPort 1.4 with optional HDMI 2.0 and an audio combo jack. A PCIe x16 slot with x4 signal takes a card up to 180 x 121 mm, alongside an mPCIe slot and an M.2 E-key slot for optional Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. The R12ITWS-MHM2-EX is the 12.1 inch model with a 500 nit screen, and the R17ITWS-MHA1-EX moves to a 17 inch 1280 x 1024 screen.

Power is 9 to 29 V DC on a three-pin terminal block with a protection fuse, drawing 45 to 55 W, and a 12 V 120 W adapter is supplied. The R15ITWS-MHB1-EX is fanless, operates from -20 °C to 60 °C, stores from -40 °C to 80 °C and carries CE and FCC marks. It measures 367 x 291 x 91 mm and panel mounts in a 342 x 261 mm cut-out with the supplied clips, or fits a 100 x 100 mm VESA mount.
