Winmate R17IP7T-OFM1 17″ Open Frame Panel PC with Intel Apollo Lake Pentium N4200 and Resistive Touch

OEMs building their own enclosure, kiosk or machine fascia often want the screen and computer as one module, with no bezel of its own to design around. The R17IP7T-OFM1 is Winmate’s 17 inch open frame panel PC: a 17″ SXGA display and an Intel Pentium N4200 computer in a metal open frame that mounts behind your own front panel.

The Intel Pentium N4200 (Apollo Lake) runs at 1.1 GHz with bursts to 2.5 GHz, a good fit for HMI software, line status displays and data entry. Two DDR3L SO-DIMM sockets run dual-channel up to 16 GB, and a 128 GB SSD sits on an M.2 2242 B-key slot, with two optional 2.5″ SATA III bays that support RAID. The 17″ panel is 1280 x 1024 at 350 nits with 1000:1 contrast, with resistive touch or protection glass as options. Windows or Linux Ubuntu 20.04 can be supplied.

Two Gigabit Ethernet ports on Intel controllers, four USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A ports and one RS-232/422/485 plus one RS-232 port cover PLCs, scanners and serial instruments. DisplayPort 1.2 is standard for a second screen, with HDMI 1.4 or VGA as options, alongside mic-in, line-out and two speakers. A PCIe 2.0 x1 slot takes a fieldbus or I/O card, and an M.2 E-key slot takes optional Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. Within the Winmate range the R17IF7T-OFM1 is the same open frame design with 9th Gen Intel Core i3 to i7 processors, and the R19IP7T-OFM1 is the 19 inch open frame version with the same Pentium N4200.

Power is 12 V DC on a four-pin DIN connector, and it comes with a 84 W AC adapter and power cord. The fanless metal housing operates from 0 °C to 50 °C at 10 to 90% humidity, non-condensing, which suits indoor cabinets and consoles. The R17IP7T-OFM1 mounts as an open frame by default, with panel or VESA mounting as options. It carries CE and FCC marks. We supply it configured, with the OS installed, and tested before dispatch.
