Winmate R19IHAT-66EX-T 19″ ATEX Zone 2 Panel PC with Intel Core i5-1135G7 and PCAP Touch

Drilling rigs, gas plants and chemical sites need operator panels that are approved for their hazardous zone, yet run current software and cope with cold, wet and vibrating conditions. The R19IHAT-66EX-T is Winmate’s 19 inch panel PC for those locations: Winmate states it is certified for Class I, Division 2 and ATEX Zone 2 hazardous area applications, with markings ATEX II 3G Ex ic IIC T4 Gc, IECEx Ex ec ic IIC T4 Gc and Class I, Div.2, Groups A,B,C,D T4, each for -40 °C to 70 °C ambient.

The display is a 400 nit 1280 x 1024 panel with 1000:1 contrast, with a 1000 nit panel as an option, under projected capacitive multi-touch bonded with the panel. The 11th generation Intel Core i5-1135G7 runs at up to 4.2 GHz, with Core i7-1165G7, i3-1115G4E, i5-1145G7E and i7-1185G7E as options. Memory is DDR4-3200, 8 GB as standard, up to 32 GB on one SO-DIMM or 64 GB on two, and storage is a 256 GB M.2 NVMe SSD with options to 4 TB. TPM 2.0 is on board.

Field I/O is on terminal blocks through two M16 and three M12 Ex-type brass cable glands: one LAN port, one USB 2.0 port and one RS-232/422/485 port. For set-up and maintenance in a safe area there are also one USB 3.2 Gen 1×1 and two USB 2.0 Type-A ports, an RJ45, a DB9 RS-232 port and a VGA output, all for use only in a safe area. The R19IHAT-66EX is the earlier Haswell build.

Power is 9 to 36 V DC on a terminal block, with a 24 V 150 W adapter supplied. The fanless aluminum unit is rated IP66 to IEC 60529 in non-hazardous locations and IP54 to IEC 60079 in hazardous locations, and operates from -40 °C to 70 °C with its intelligent heater. Shock and vibration are to MIL-STD-810G Methods 516.6 and 514.6. It measures 474 x 410 x 111 mm, needs a 462 x 386 mm cut-out, weighs 9.8 kg and panel mounts, or fits VESA.
