The W18IAD3S-MLA3FP is Winmate's 18.5 inch defense panel PC, with an Intel Core i5-1235U and a 500 nit 1920 x 1080 PCAP touch screen in a fanless rack mount housing compliant with MIL-STD-810H and MIL-STD-461G. It suits command centres and rugged field consoles.

W18IAD3S-MLA3FP Overview

Map, sensor and status views read better on a widescreen panel, and in a defense console that panel has to meet the same EMC and vibration rules as the rest of the rack. The W18IAD3S-MLA3FP is Winmate’s 18.5 inch widescreen defense panel PC for that job: a fanless 18.5″ unit with a 1920 x 1080 display, compliant with MIL-STD-810H and MIL-STD-461G.

The Intel Core i5-1235U has 10 cores and 12 threads at up to 4.4 GHz with Intel Iris Xe graphics, for console software and operator displays without a fan. Memory is 8 GB of DDR5 with 16 GB and 32 GB options, storage is 256 GB with options up to 2 TB, TPM 2.0 is on board, and Windows 11 IoT Enterprise, Windows 11 Pro or Linux Ubuntu 22.04 can be installed. The 1920 x 1080 panel gives 500 nits with 1000:1 contrast, with projected capacitive multi-touch, with a PCAP and ITO film version as an option. A six-key OSD pad covers power, brightness and day or night modes, and a light sensor can set brightness automatically.

Rear I/O covers two Ethernet ports on Intel controllers, two USB 3.2 Gen 2×1 Type-A ports, one RS-232/422/485 port set to RS-232 by default, an optional second RS-232 port and an optional HDMI output. The R19IAD3S-MLA3FP is the 19 inch defense panel PC with a 1280 x 1024 screen for consoles built around the 5:4 format, and the W18IAD3S-RKA1 is an 18.5 inch rack mount panel PC with resistive touch for industrial racks.

Power is 100 to 240 V AC on a MIL-DTL-38999/1 connector, with an optional isolated 9 to 36 V DC input. The W18IAD3S-MLA3FP runs from -20 to 60 °C and stores from -30 to 70 °C at 10 to 95% humidity. Winmate lists compliance with MIL-STD-810H for vibration, humidity and transit drop, and MIL-STD-461G for CE101, CE102, RE101, RE102 and CS118, with TEMPEST and NATO STANAG options and CE and FCC marks. The anti-corrosion metal housing with an aluminum bezel mounts in a rack or on VESA. We supply it configured, with the OS installed, and tested before dispatch.
