PCI ExpressSC350N1-L 3D Overview
Composite video carries brightness and color on one wire, and poor separation shows up as color fringing on fine detail. The SC350N1-L 3D is Yuan’s PCIe Analog frame grabber for one composite or S-Video source, with a 3D Y/C comb filter to separate the two. It suits analog cameras and legacy outputs where the captured picture is inspected, recorded or analyzed.
The card captures NTSC at 720 x 480 and 29.97 fps or PAL at 720 x 576 and 25 fps, the D1 sizes. Yuan lists RGB24, RGB32, YUY2, YV12 and NV12 capture formats, and on-card cropping, scaling, auto signal detection and deinterlacing alongside the comb filter. S-Video sources, which already carry brightness and color separately, connect through their own input. Two RCA connectors capture audio at 16-bit, 48 kHz.
The card fits a PCIe x1 slot and carries 16 GPIO lines and a watchdog. Yuan lists multi-instance and multi-device support, and DirectShow and V4L2 drivers let vMix, OBS, Zoom, Skype, Teams, Discord, Slack, Cisco Webex and GoToMeeting use it, with Yuan’s Windows and Linux SDK for custom software. The SC300N1-L is the single-input card without the comb filter, and the SC350N4-L captures four composite feeds at up to 960 x 576.
Yuan lists Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows 8.1 and Windows 10, Linux 2.6.14 or higher in 32-bit and 64-bit builds, Linux on ARM, and NVIDIA Jetson TX2, Nano, AGX Xavier and Xavier NX, so the card can sit in an x86 PC or feed an ARM or Jetson based system. The board measures 101.03 x 68.9 mm. Yuan does not state an operating temperature range on its model page, so ask us where the card will run in an enclosed cabinet.
