Yuan SC400N1 M2 SDI M.2 SDI Video Capture Card with 1080p60 Input

Small computers on vehicles, in control rooms or inside test rigs often need to record an HD SDI camera but only have an M.2 socket to spare. The SC400N1 M2 SDI is Yuan’s M.2 SDI video capture card for that job, with one SDI input and an SDI loop-through output, so the camera feed can still run on to a monitor or recorder while the computer captures it.

The SDI input captures 1920 x 1080 at 60/50 fps, HD-SDI at 1080p 30, 25 and 24 fps, 1080i and 720p, and SD-SDI at 480i and 576i. Capture formats are 8-bit RGB24, RGB32, YUY2, YV12 and NV12. Stereo embedded audio comes in with the video at 16-bit, 32 to 48 kHz, and the card captures VANC data as well as video and audio.

The card is M.2 Type B/M on a PCIe x1 link, with cropping and scaling, auto signal detection, a deinterlace engine and multiple instances, and several cards can run in one host. Yuan provides a Windows and Linux SDK, and DirectShow or V4L2 software such as vMix and OBS works with it. The SC400N1 M2 HDMI is the HDMI version, and the SC400N2 M2 SDI adds a second SDI input on M.2.

Yuan lists Windows, Linux 2.6.14 or higher in 32-bit and 64-bit, and Linux ARM on NVIDIA Jetson TX2, Nano, AGX Xavier and Xavier NX. We supply it tested in the host computer it goes into, with drivers installed and capture checked on the inputs you plan to use. The SC400N1 M2 SDI suits compact SDI recording, monitoring and broadcast contribution systems.
