Yuan SC410N4 HDMI PCIe HDMI Frame Grabber with 4 x HDMI Inputs at 4K30

Recording four 4K screens or cameras at once, for a control room, a test bench or a multi-view stream, needs each channel kept at UHD without four separate cards. The SC410N4 HDMI is Yuan’s 4-channel PCIe HDMI frame grabber for that job, with four HDMI inputs on one full height card.

Every channel captures at up to 4096 x 2160p at 30/25 fps, and the card also accepts 1920 x 1080p at 60/50 fps, 1080i, 720p and PC resolutions from 640 x 480 to 1280 x 1024. Audio arrives as four stereo embedded channels. Capture and preview formats are RGB24 and RGB32 at 4:4:4, YUY2 at 4:2:2, and YV12 and NV12 at 4:2:0, all 8-bit, so host software can take frames in the format it already uses. On-board processing covers cropping and scaling, automatic signal detection and deinterlacing. There is no hardware encoder, so any compression runs in software on the host.

The card runs PCIe x4 Gen2 and adds 16 GPIO lines. Yuan supplies a Windows and Linux SDK for custom applications, and the card works with DirectShow and V4L2 software; Yuan’s compatibility list names vMix, OBS, Zoom, Skype, Teams, Discord, Slack, Cisco Webex and GoToMeeting. The SC410N4 6G-SDI is the SDI version with four 6G-SDI inputs at 3840 x 2160, and the SC400N4 HDMI captures four HDMI sources at 1080p60.

Yuan lists driver support for Windows 7, 8, 8.1 and 10, Linux 4.8 or higher in 32-bit and 64-bit builds, Linux ARM, and NVIDIA Jetson TX2, Nano, AGX Xavier and Xavier NX modules. Yuan lists multi-instance and multi-device support for systems that run more than one capture session or card. The card measures 111.14 x 101.01 mm and is listed by Yuan as full height PCIe, for tower and rackmount hosts with a free x4 slot.
