An embedded system that ships into different sites may meet an HDMI camera at one and an SDI camera at the next. The SC550N1 MC AIO is Yuan’s Mini PCIe HDMI and SDI capture card, with one input of each kind, so one card in a small host covers either signal without a change of hardware.
The card has one HDMI input and one SDI input as a single capture channel. Digital video is captured at up to 1920 x 1080p at 60/50 fps, while 1920 x 1200 signals at 60/50 fps are taken in and captured at 30/25 fps, with PC modes down to 640 x 480 and more through the SDK. Color formats cover 4:4:4 RGB24 and RGB32, 4:2:2 YUY2 and 4:2:0 YV12 and NV12 at 8 bits, giving software a choice between full color detail and lighter frames. The card also crops, scales and deinterlaces on board and detects the incoming signal automatically. Audio comes embedded in the HDMI or SDI signal, sampled as 16-bit stereo at 32 to 48 kHz. SDI support runs to 1080p at 60/50 fps, with HD-SDI and SD-SDI formats as well.
It is a full-size Mini PCIe (Minicard) card on a PCIe x1 link, with no on-board encoder. Windows and Linux SDKs cover custom applications, and DirectShow and V4L2 support lets vMix, OBS, Zoom, Teams and similar software open it directly. The SC550N1 MC SDI is the SDI-only card with loop-through, and the SC550N1 MC HDV swaps SDI for DVI-I and YPbPr inputs.
Supported systems are Windows 7, 8, 8.1 and 10, 32-bit and 64-bit Linux from kernel 2.6.14, Linux on ARM, and NVIDIA Jetson TX2, Nano, AGX Xavier and Xavier NX. The board measures 30 x 50.95 mm and connects its inputs through cables to an HDMI connector and a BNC connector. Yuan lists multi-device and multi-instance support.
