Many recordings pair a camera with a screen: a room camera and an imaging display, a presenter and their slides, or a test rig and its control PC. When the camera is SDI and the screen is HDMI or DVI, one card has to speak both. The SC5A0N2-L Hybrid is Yuan’s two-channel PCIe HDMI, SDI and DVI frame grabber for that pairing, with one SDI input and one DVI-I input recorded as separate channels.
The DVI-I input also takes HDMI, YPbPr, S-Video and composite sources. Both channels accept 1920 x 1080p at 60/50 fps and capture at 30/25 fps, with HD-SDI, SD-SDI, 1080i, 720p and PAL or NTSC formats listed. Capture and preview formats cover RGB24 and RGB32 at 4:4:4, YUY2 at 4:2:2 and YV12 and NV12 at 4:2:0, so frames can go straight to an encoder, a display pipeline or an analytics model without a color conversion step. Each channel captures stereo embedded audio at 16-bit and 32 to 48 kHz.
The card uses a PCIe x1 Gen2 slot and supports multiple instances and multiple cards in one host, with cropping and scaling, automatic signal detection, deinterlacing, 16 GPIO and a watchdog. Software runs through Yuan’s Windows and Linux SDK, and the card works with DirectShow and V4L2 applications such as vMix, OBS, Zoom and Teams. The SC5A0N4 Hybrid scales the same idea to four SDI inputs plus DVI on PCIe x4, and the SC5A0N2-L SDI is the two-channel card for SDI sources only.
Yuan lists driver support for Windows 7, 8, 8.1 and 10, Linux kernel 2.6.14 or later in 32-bit and 64-bit builds, Linux on ARM and NVIDIA Jetson TX2, Nano, AGX Xavier and Xavier NX modules. That lets the same hybrid capture design run on Windows, Linux or a Jetson edge unit. The board measures 122.3 x 68.9 mm.
