SDI to SDI/HDMI Genlock Overview
Feeding an SDI source to both a router and an HDMI monitor while keeping it in time with house sync usually takes a synchroniser and a converter. The Yuan SDI to SDI/HDMI Genlock is an SDI to HDMI converter with a built-in frame synchroniser, typically used in broadcast, outside broadcast and live production.
Input is one SDI connection accepting 1080p at 60/50 fps, HD-SDI at 1080p 30/25/24, 1080i and 720p, SD-SDI at 480i and 576i, and 3G-SDI Level B dual link (RGB/YUV 4:4:4) or dual stream (4:2:2). A REF input takes black burst or tri-level sync, and a pair of RCA connectors brings in L/R audio. Outputs are one HDMI and two SDI, up/down converted, plus one SDI loop-through. SDI output supports Level A and Level B dual link. Embedded audio is up to eight channels, 24-bit, 48 kHz, with two channels from RCA.
The SDI to SDI/HDMI Genlock runs from a 7.5 to 15 V DC input. For SDI outputs only, the SDI to SDI Genlock is the simpler frame synchroniser. If your sources include HDMI, the SDI-HDMI Genlock Cross accepts SDI or HDMI with genlock and cross conversion.
No operating temperature or certification is published, so we treat it as an indoor rack unit. We can also supply spare units for critical signal paths and advise on mounting and power in the rack, so the installation is ready before you go live. We supply the SDI to SDI/HDMI Genlock configured and tested with the sources, reference and displays it will connect to.
