Advantech SKY-MXM-5000A NVIDIA RTX 5000 Ada Embedded 16GB MXM 3.1 Type B+ GPU Module with 4x DisplayPort 1.4a

Some embedded systems need a large GPU with plenty of memory but only have room for a module. The SKY-MXM-5000A is the NVIDIA RTX 5000 Ada Embedded from Advantech, an MXM GPU module in the MXM 3.1 Type B+ format built on the Ada Lovelace AD103 GPU. It suits graphics, video and AI work in systems designed around a Type B+ MXM slot and its thermal solution.

The GPU carries 9,728 CUDA cores, 76 RT Cores and 304 Tensor Cores. In the discrete build it runs at a 1,425 MHz base and 2,115 MHz boost clock for 41.15 TFLOPS FP32 at 115 W, and the headless build runs at 930 MHz and 1,680 MHz for 32.69 TFLOPS at 80 W. Memory is 16 GB of GDDR6 with ECC on a 256-bit interface at 576 GB/s. GPUDirect RDMA and GPUDirect for Video are supported, and encode sessions are unlimited.

The SKY-MXM-5000A connects over PCI Express Gen4 x16. SKY-MXM-5000A-6SDA is the discrete build with four DisplayPort 1.4a outputs at up to 4K 120 Hz or 8K 60 Hz with DSC, and HDMI 2.0 at 4K 60 Hz through DP dual mode. SKY-MXM-5000A-6SHA is the headless build for MS-Hybrid mode. Type B+ modules need a proprietary thermal solution, and Advantech offers a fan cooler or a heat spreader. Operation is 0 °C to 55 °C, dependent on CPU and cooler solution, with storage from -40 °C to 85 °C.

We supply the SKY-MXM-5000A tested, and fit, configure and burn-in test it in the MXM GPU computers we build, with the thermal solution designed in from the start. Advantech supports five years’ availability. The SKY-MXM-3500A is the 12 GB Ada Lovelace module in the same Type B+ format, and the SKY-MXM-A4500 is the Ampere Type B+ module with 16 GB of GDDR6.
