Antaira LMX-0500-T-V2 5-Port Fast Ethernet Managed Industrial Ethernet Switch with Extended Temperature

Roadside ITS cabinets, pumping stations and substation kiosks can drop well below freezing in winter, yet the few devices inside still need managed, ring-protected links. The LMX-0500-T-V2 is the extended temperature build in the Antaira LMX-0500-V2 series: a five-port managed Fast Ethernet switch on Version 2 hardware, rated -40 °C to 75 °C for unheated outdoor enclosures.

It has five 10/100Base-TX RJ45 ports with auto-negotiation and auto MDI/MDI-X, switching store-and-forward on a 1 Gbps fabric with an 8K MAC address table and 9.6 KB jumbo frames. The Layer 2+ firmware covers IEEE 802.1Q VLANs, 802.1p QoS with eight priority queues, IGMP snooping for up to 1024 groups, LACP link aggregation and SNMP v1/v2c/v3, and Version 2 hardware adds static routes between VLANs with DHCP Option 82. Ring redundancy uses ITU-T G.8032 ERPS with recovery in under 50 ms, alongside STP, RSTP and MSTP.

Power arrives on 12 to 48 V DC redundant inputs on a removable 6-contact terminal block, so a second supply can take over if the first fails, and the switch draws 7.5 W. Overload current and reverse polarity protection are built in, and a relay contact rated 24 V DC, 1 A is available for alarm wiring. Antaira gives the switch high EFT and ESD protection, with EMS testing to IEC 61000-4-2, 3, 4, 5, 6 and 8. Set-up runs through the web console, Telnet, SSH or CLI, with an RS232 console port on RJ45 and a USB 2.0 port for configuration backup.

The LMX-0500-T-V2 sits in an IP30 metal case and mounts on a DIN rail, with wall mounting as an option. It carries FCC and CE marks, is RoHS compliant and comes with Antaira’s 5-year warranty. The LMX-0500-V2 is the same switch rated -10 °C to 70 °C, and the LMX-0600-T-V2 adds a sixth Fast Ethernet port at the same extended rating.
