Antaira LMX-0702G-SFP-V2 7-Port Gigabit Managed DIN Rail Switches with 2x SFP and Extended Temperature Options

A fiber ring between cabinets needs two fiber ports on every switch, one towards each neighbour, so that a cut cable or a failed node simply sends traffic the other way. Each cabinet then needs a handful of copper ports for the devices inside. The Antaira LMX-0702G-SFP-V2 series is sized for that job: five managed gigabit copper ports and two SFP slots, in an IP30 metal DIN rail case.

Both models share the same Version 2 hardware. The five 10/100/1000Base-T(X) RJ45 ports support auto MDI/MDI-X, and the two SFP slots take 100 or 1000 Mbps transceivers, so fiber type and reach follow the modules chosen. Switching is store-and-forward on a 14 Gbps fabric with an 8K MAC table and 9.6 KB jumbo frames. The Layer 2+ firmware covers IEEE 802.1Q VLANs, QoS, IGMP snooping for up to 1024 groups, LACP, SNMP v1/v2c/v3, RMON, Modbus TCP and 802.1X, and adds static routes between VLANs with DHCP Option 82. ITU-T G.8032 ERPS recovers the ring in under 50 ms, with STP, RSTP and MSTP as alternatives.

There are two temperature grades. The LMX-0702G-SFP-V2 is the standard build, rated -10 °C to 65 °C for heated or indoor cabinets. The LMX-0702G-SFP-T-V2 is the extended temperature build, rated -40 °C to 75 °C for unheated cabinets along pipelines, roads and water networks. For a single fiber uplink the Antaira LMX-0601G-SFP-V2 series is the nearer fit, and the LMX-1202G-SFP series offers ten copper ports with two SFP slots.

Antaira names power and utility, water and wastewater, oil, gas and mining, factory automation, security surveillance and ITS as typical applications. Each case is tested for shock to IEC 60068-2-27, vibration to IEC 60068-2-6 and free fall to IEC 60068-2-32, with storage from -40 °C to 85 °C and 5% to 95% non-condensing humidity. Redundant 12 to 48 V DC inputs land on a 6-contact terminal block with reverse polarity and overload protection and a 24 V DC relay contact, the switch draws 7.5 W and high EFT and ESD protection is built in. The LMX-0702G-SFP-V2 series is UL 61010-1 certified, carries FCC and CE marks and comes with Antaira’s 5-year warranty, and we can pre-configure ring settings, VLANs and IP addressing before dispatch.
