Antaira LMX-1202G-SFP 12-Port Gigabit Managed DIN Rail Ethernet Switches with 2x SFP and Extended Temperature Options

Larger cabinets on process and utility sites often need more than eight copper ports once cameras, meters and a second controller are added, and on hazardous or traffic sites the approvals still have to be in place. The Antaira LMX-1202G-SFP series covers both with 10 managed gigabit copper ports, two SFP slots and a certification list that includes UL Class 1 Division 2, ATEX Zone 2, UL 61010-1 and NEMA TS2.

Both models share one design. All 10 RJ45 ports are 10/100/1000Base-TX with auto MDI/MDI-X, and the two 100/1000 SFP slots take the fiber module that suits each run, so the switch can sit in a fiber ring. Switching is store-and-forward on a 24 Gbps fabric with an 8K MAC table and 9.6 KB jumbo frames. The Layer 2+ firmware covers IEEE 802.1Q VLANs, QoS, IGMP snooping for up to 1024 groups, LACP, LLDP, port mirroring, sFlow, RMON, Modbus TCP and 802.1X, and adds static routes with DHCP Option 82. ITU-T G.8032 ERPS recovers a ring in under 50 ms, with STP, RSTP and MSTP available.

There are two temperature grades. The LMX-1202G-SFP is the standard build, rated -10 °C to 65 °C for heated or indoor cabinets. The LMX-1202G-SFP-T is the extended temperature build, rated -40 °C to 75 °C for unheated oil and gas, roadside and water network cabinets. For eight copper ports with the same approvals, the Antaira LMX-1002G-SFP series is the nearer fit.

Antaira names power and utility, water and wastewater, oil, gas and mining, factory automation, security surveillance and ITS as typical applications for the LMX-1202G-SFP series. Each case is tested for shock to IEC 60068-2-27, vibration to IEC 60068-2-6 and free fall to IEC 60068-2-32, with storage from -40 °C to 85 °C and 5% to 95% non-condensing humidity. Redundant 12 to 48 V DC inputs land on a 6-contact terminal block, a power lost warning drives a 24 V DC relay contact, overload and reverse polarity protection are built in and the switch draws 15 W. The series carries FCC and CE marks, sits in an IP30 metal case for DIN rail or wall mounting and comes with Antaira’s 5-year warranty, and we can pre-configure ring settings and VLANs before dispatch.
