Antaira LMX-3228G-10G-SFP 32-Port 10G Managed Rackmount Industrial Switches with 24x SFP, 4x 10G SFP+ and Dual AC Power

Every fiber run on a large site has to end somewhere, and the switch at that point decides how far the backbone can grow. It also has to match the power in the room, whether that is mains, a -48 V DC supply or both. The Antaira LMX-3228G-10G-SFP series is a family of managed rackmount industrial switches built as backbone fiber aggregation switches, with 24 SFP slots, four 10G SFP+ uplinks and a choice of five power supply builds.

Each LMX-3228G-10G-SFP has 24 100/1000 SFP slots, four 1G/10G SFP+ slots and four 10/100/1000Tx RJ45 ports, switching store-and-forward on a 136 Gbps fabric with a 32K MAC table, a 32 Mbit packet buffer and 10K jumbo frames. Switching is Layer 2 managed with DHCP option 82 relay, and the firmware covers 4K VLAN groups, STP, RSTP and MSTP, LACP, eight priority queues per port, storm control, IGMP snooping with MVR, port mirroring with RSPAN, RMON and LLDP, with 802.1X, RADIUS, TACACS+, ACLs, IP source guard, SSHv2, HTTPS and SNMP v3 securing access. Remote port configuration and statistics monitoring, plus locally stored syslog that can be downloaded, help with day-to-day operation.

The five builds differ only in power. The LMX-3228G-10G-SFP-AC has a single 100 to 240 V AC supply and the LMX-3228G-10G-SFP-AA has two, so one can carry the load if the other fails. The LMX-3228G-10G-SFP-DC has a single 18 to 60 V DC (-48 V) supply and the LMX-3228G-10G-SFP-DD has two. The LMX-3228G-10G-SFP-AD pairs one AC supply with one -48 V DC supply, so it can run from either source. Every build draws up to 60 W, and because the port layout and firmware are the same across all five, the choice comes down to the supply in the room and how much redundancy the project needs.

Antaira names security surveillance, traffic monitoring systems and facility management in power and utility, water and wastewater treatment and oil, gas and mining as applications for the LMX-3228G-10G-SFP series, wherever high-density fiber connections meet. The metal 1U housing mounts in a 19-inch rack and is rated 0 °C to 50 °C with 10 to 90% non-condensing humidity, so it belongs in a heated equipment room or indoor cabinet.
