Antaira LNP-0500-T 5-Port Fast Ethernet Unmanaged PoE Switch with 4x PoE+ and -40 to 75 °C

Surveillance cameras, traffic sensors and wireless access points are often mounted where there is no mains socket, so the Ethernet cable has to carry their power as well as their data. The LNP-0500-T is the extended temperature model in the Antaira LNP-0500 series: a five-port industrial unmanaged PoE switch that powers four devices from one DIN-rail unit, rated for unheated outdoor cabinets on ITS traffic, utility and water treatment sites.

Four 10/100Base-TX RJ45 ports deliver IEEE 802.3at PoE+, and a fifth 10/100Base-TX port carries the uplink to the rest of the network. Every port supports auto negotiation and auto MDI/MDI-X, so straight or crossover cables both work. Switching is unmanaged and store-and-forward on a 1.0 Gbps backplane with a 2K MAC address table and broadcast storm protection. There is no management interface and nothing to set up: the switch forwards traffic and powers devices as soon as it is energized. Where the cameras need Gigabit links, the LNP-0500G keeps the same layout.

Power arrives on redundant 48 to 55 V DC inputs on a removable 6-contact terminal block, so a second supply can take over if the first fails. Antaira rates PoE output at 30 W per port from a 51 to 55 V DC supply and 25 W per port at 48 V DC, so the supply voltage sets how much each camera can draw. Reverse polarity and overload current protection are built in, alongside EFT protection to 2,000 V DC and ESD protection to 6,000 V DC, and one relay output signals a port break to a PLC or alarm panel.

The LNP-0500-T runs fanless from -40 °C to 75 °C in an IP30 aluminum case, mounts on a DIN rail or a wall, and is tested to IEC 60068-2-27 shock and IEC 60068-2-6 vibration. Antaira lists it as UL Class 1 Division 2 and UL 508 certified, with FCC and CE marks and RoHS compliance, and covers it with Antaira’s 5-year warranty. For heated cabinets the LNP-0500 is the standard temperature model, and the LNP-0500-24-T takes a 12 to 36 V DC supply instead.
