Arestech MEGA-3112 8th/9th Gen Intel Core Extended Temperature Industrial GPU Computer with PCIe x16 and x8 Slots

Most edge vision builds need one GPU and one other card, typically a frame grabber or an extra network adapter, and paying for slots that stay empty adds weight and cost. The Arestech MEGA-3112 is the two-slot industrial GPU computer in the MEGA-3110 series, pairing a PCIe x16 slot with a PCIe x8 slot.

Compute comes from 9th or 8th Gen Intel Core i3, i5 or i7 desktop processors in 35 W or 65 W versions, from the four-core i3-8100T to the eight-core i7-9700TE, on an Intel Q370 chipset. Two DDR4 2400/2666 SO-DIMM sockets hold up to 64 GB, and integrated Intel UHD Graphics 630 drives VGA and DVI-D at up to 1920 x 1200 plus a DisplayPort output at up to 4096 x 2160, leaving the x16 slot on the MEGA-3112 free for a graphics card.

The MEGA-3112 carries one PCIe x16 slot for a full-size graphics card and one PCIe x8 slot wired as four lanes for a frame grabber, network card or I/O board. Three GbE ports, an Intel i219-LM and two Intel i210-AT, support Wake-on-LAN and PXE, six RS-232/422/485 DB9 ports with auto flow control and 8x isolated DI plus 8x isolated DO connect controllers. Two removable and two internal 2.5″ SATA bays support RAID 0, 1, 5 and 10, two CFast sockets are shared with mSATA, and four full-size mini-PCIe sockets with four SIM sockets take LTE or Wi-Fi modules.

Arestech fan-cools the MEGA-3112 so it can carry a graphics card, and it operates from -40 °C to 70 °C with 3 Grms vibration and 30 G shock ratings. Power enters at 9 to 48 V DC without a GPU card, or 24 to 48 V DC with one, through a terminal block with ignition sensing, a PC/car mode switch and over-voltage, reverse-voltage and over-current protection. The industrial GPU computer measures 168 x 241.5 x 356 mm, weighs 7.35 kg and wall or stand mounts. For a third card, the MEGA-3113 adds a second PCIe x8 (4-lane) slot in the same enclosure.
