Arestech PPC-Z157R-B61A1 15″ 5-Wire Resistive Stainless Steel Panel PC with Intel Core i5-7200U and IP66/IP69K

On many hygienic lines operators wear gloves for the whole shift, and the computer behind the screen is hosed down with the line at the end of it. The PPC-Z157R-B61A1 is the 5-wire resistive configuration on the Intel Core i5-7200U in the Arestech PPC-Z157 series: a 15 inch fanless stainless steel panel PC in 316 grade stainless steel with a completely flat front, sealed to IP66 and IP69K as a whole unit.

The Intel Core i5-7200U is a dual-core processor running at up to 3.1 GHz, with two DDR4-2133 SO-DIMM sockets for up to 32 GB and an M.2 2280 socket with PCIe x4 or SATA, which suits SCADA and MES clients, batch records and HMI software with several windows open, with operating system support for Windows 10 IoT or Professional and Linux. The display is a 300 nit 4:3 XGA LCD at 1024 x 768 with a 600:1 contrast ratio and 160° viewing angles horizontally and vertically. The 5-wire resistive touch screen responds to pressure, so it works with gloved hands, and is rated for 36 million touches.

Every external connection is sealed: two GbE ports on Intel i219V and i211AT controllers, two USB 3.0 and two USB 2.0 ports and one RS-232 and one RS-232/422/485 port on M12 connectors. A full-size Mini-PCIe socket with a SIM slot and an M.2 2230 E-key socket for Wi-Fi and Bluetooth take optional 4G and Wi-Fi modules with IP66 antennas. The PPC-Z157P-B61A1 is the same build with projected capacitive touch, and the PPC-Z157R-B62A1 offers the Intel Core i3-7100U.

Power is 9 to 36 V DC on an M12 connector with AT and ATX modes. The PPC-Z157R-B61A1 is fanless, operates from -20 °C to 60 °C at 5 to 95% humidity with extended-temperature memory and storage fitted, and is shock-tested to 20 G under IEC 60068-2-27, with CE and FCC Class A marks. It measures 435 x 350 x 66.9 mm, weighs 7.41 kg and mounts on 75 x 75 and 100 x 100 mm VESA, a yoke or a wall mount.
