ASRock Industrial IMB-1012J-WV Intel N97 Mini-ITX Mainboard with Dual GbE, Triple Display and 9-28V DC

Panel builds often need to drive an internal LCD and an external screen while keeping cabling simple and feeding the board from a DC rail. The ASRock Industrial IMB-1012J-WV is a Mini-ITX mainboard on the Intel N97 (Alder Lake-N) with separate LVDS and eDP 1.4b connectors, so either panel type can be wired without changing boards. Its serial ports sit on internal headers, which keeps the rear panel uncluttered for slim enclosures.

The N97 has four cores at up to 3.6 GHz within a 12 W rating, with Intel UHD Graphics. One DDR5 SO-DIMM socket runs at 4800 MHz and takes up to 32 GB. That suits signage players, panel builds and factory equipment controllers, and the IMB-1012J-WV supports Windows 11 and Linux.

Displays run from two HDMI 2.0b outputs, a dual-channel LVDS connector and an eDP 1.4b connector at up to 4K, with up to three screens at once. Networking is two Realtek RTL8111H Gigabit ports. The rear panel carries three USB 3.2 Gen 2 and one USB 2.0, with four USB 2.0 on internal headers. Four internal COM headers give COM1 RS-232/422/485, COM2 and COM3 RS-232 and COM4 as RS-232, TTL 5 V or ccTalk by jumper, plus four GPI and four GPO. A PCIe x1 Gen3 slot takes an add-in card, an M.2 Key M socket on PCIe x1 Gen3 or SATA takes an SSD, one SATA3 port adds a drive and an M.2 Key E socket takes an optional Wi-Fi module.

Power is 9 to 28 V DC through the rear jack, with a 12 V only build as a BOM option and AT and ATX power-on modes. The board is rated from -20 °C to 70 °C operating and -40 °C to 85 °C storage, carries CE and FCC marks and has a TPM header and Intel PTT. We supply the IMB-1012J-WV configured and tested, with memory, storage and the OS image fitted. The IMB-1011J-WV adds VGA and a MIPI CSI-2 camera input on the same N97, and the IMB-1008J offers two M.2 Key M sockets.
