Industrial control in a transport depot, a plant room or a cabinet on a production line has to keep running through cold mornings and warm afternoons, and a corrupted memory bit can stop a process. The EMX-EHLP-X25RE-A1R is the Atom x6425RE build in the Avalue EMX-EHLP series of Thin ITX motherboards, combining in-band ECC with -20 to 60 °C operation and four 2.5GbE ports.

Its Intel Atom x6425RE is a quad-core Elkhart Lake processor with a 12 W TDP, the most power the series offers in an Atom build, for soft PLC runtimes, motion supervision, protocol gateways and a local HMI. One DDR4 3200 MHz SO-DIMM slot takes up to 32 GB with in-band ECC. Intel UHD Graphics drives HDMI 2.0b at up to 4096 x 2160 at 60 Hz, a DP++ output and an internal dual-channel LVDS connector, up to three independent displays.

Four 2.5GbE ports on Intel I226LM controllers give control, camera, device and uplink networks a port each. Six COM headers, two RS-232/422/485 and four RS-232, plus 16-bit DIO connect drives, PLCs and relays. Two rear USB 3.1 Gen 2 and two USB 3.1 Gen 1 Type-A ports and four USB 2.0 headers take peripherals. An M.2 B-key takes a SATA SSD or a 4G module with its SIM slot, an M.2 E-key takes Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, and two SATA ports add drives.

The EMX-EHLP-X25RE-A1R runs from 12 to 24 V DC on a lockable barrel jack or a 4-pin connector, with CE, FCC and RoHS compliance. The EMX-EHLP-X13E-A1R offers the same range and ECC at 9 W for lower heat, and the EMX-EHLP-J6413-A1R is a 0 to 60 °C Celeron build for heated buildings.
