Avalue EMX-EHLP-X13E-A1R Intel Elkhart Lake Atom x6413E Thin Mini-ITX SBC with 12 to 24 V DC Input, Quad 2.5GbE and Wide Temperature

A gateway in a pump station, a substation kiosk or a remote telemetry cabinet may go months between visits, often without heating, so memory errors and cold starts matter more than raw speed. The EMX-EHLP-X13E-A1R is the 9 W Atom build in the Avalue EMX-EHLP series of Thin Mini-ITX SBCs, rated from -20 to 60 °C with in-band ECC memory protection.

Its Intel Atom x6413E is a quad-core Elkhart Lake processor with a 9 W TDP, the lowest in the series, which keeps heat down inside a sealed cabinet. It suits telemetry, protocol conversion, edge data logging and remote access. One DDR4 3200 MHz SO-DIMM slot takes up to 32 GB with in-band ECC. Intel UHD Graphics drives HDMI 2.0b at up to 4096 x 2160 at 60 Hz, a DP++ output and an internal dual-channel LVDS connector, with up to three independent displays.

Four 2.5GbE ports on Intel I226LM controllers separate the site network, field devices, cameras and a backhaul router. Two rear USB 3.1 Gen 2 and two USB 3.1 Gen 1 Type-A ports and four USB 2.0 headers handle peripherals. Six COM headers, two RS-232/422/485 and four RS-232, plus 16-bit DIO connect RTUs, meters and relays. An M.2 B-key with a SIM slot takes a 4G module where there is no wired link, or a SATA SSD, an M.2 E-key takes Wi-Fi, and two SATA ports add drives.

The EMX-EHLP-X13E-A1R runs from 12 to 24 V DC on a lockable barrel jack or a 4-pin connector, with CE, FCC and RoHS compliance. The EMX-EHLP-X25RE-A1R keeps the same temperature range and ECC with the 12 W Atom x6425RE for more processing, and the EMX-EHLP-J12-A1-1R is the two-port Celeron build for heated sites.
