The Intel Celeron J3455 is a quad-core Apollo Lake processor running at up to 2.3 GHz within a 10 W TDP. The extra cores help where content playback, a touch interface and remote management run side by side. One DDR3L 1600 MHz SO-DIMM slot takes up to 8 GB, and integrated Intel graphics drive three independent screens: DP++ at up to 4096 x 2160 at 60 Hz, HDMI at up to 3840 x 2160 at 30 Hz and an internal dual-channel 18/24-bit LVDS panel at 1920 x 1080.

On the rear are two RJ45 ports on Intel I226LM 2.5GbE controllers, two USB 3.0 Type-A ports, DP++ and HDMI. Internal headers carry four USB 2.0 ports, one RS-232 port and 8-bit GPIO for buttons, sensors or a payment terminal. Storage goes on an M.2 B-key socket in 2242, 2260 or 3042 size or on the SATA III port, and the same B-key socket can host a cellular modem with its SIM slot while an M.2 E-key socket takes Wi-Fi.

The board runs from 12 V DC through a lockable jack and operates from 0 to 60 °C, with a hardware watchdog for unattended recovery. Where heat matters more than core count, the EPX-APLP-3350-B1R uses the dual-core Celeron N3350 at 6 W with identical I/O. The EPX-APLP-3455-B1R suits indoor fixtures and light industrial machines that need the most compute this series offers.
