Avalue EPX-TWLP Intel Twin Lake N150 and N250 Pico-ITX Motherboards with Dual 2.5GbE and Triple Display

The Avalue EPX-TWLP series is a family of 2.5" Pico-ITX motherboards on Intel Twin Lake processors, the quad-core N150 and N250, both at 6 W. Each 100 x 72 mm board combines DDR5 memory, dual 2.5GbE on Intel I226V controllers, three displays, two COM ports and M.2 sockets for an SSD, 4G and Wi-Fi on a 12 V DC supply. The EPX-TWLP series suits signage players, kiosks, compact HMIs and light industrial controllers.

  • Intel Twin Lake N150 or N250: Quad-core Intel Processor N options, both within a 6 W TDP, with integrated Intel graphics for three displays.
  • Fanless with 0.5 m/s Airflow: Avalue rates the board for fanless operation from 0 to 60 °C when 0.5 m/s of airflow passes over it.
  • DDR5 and Dual 2.5GbE: One DDR5 4800 MHz SO-DIMM slot for up to 16 GB, plus two RJ45 ports on Intel I226V 2.5GbE controllers.
  • Triple Display: DisplayPort 1.4a and HDMI 2.0b at up to 4096 x 2160 at 60 Hz, plus an internal single-channel LVDS connector.
  • COM, GPIO and M.2: RS-232 and RS-232/422/485 headers, 4-bit GPIO, M.2 B-key with SIM for an SSD or 4G, and M.2 E-key for Wi-Fi.

EPX-TWLP Description

A 6 W processor makes a difference in a sealed signage housing or a kiosk with no room for a fan, because there is less heat to move out of a small space. The Avalue EPX-TWLP series is built around that budget: 2.5″ Pico-ITX motherboards, 100 x 72 mm, on Intel Twin Lake processors that Avalue rates for fanless running with 0.5 m/s airflow across a 0 to 60 °C operating range.

Both EPX-TWLP boards use a quad-core Intel Processor N part from the Twin Lake family with a 6 W TDP, soldered to the underside of the board. One 262-pin DDR5 4800 MHz SO-DIMM slot takes up to 16 GB. Integrated Intel graphics drive DisplayPort 1.4a and HDMI 2.0b at up to 4096 x 2160 at 60 Hz, with an internal single-channel 18/24-bit LVDS connector for panels up to 1366 x 768. Firmware TPM, a hardware watchdog and an AMI BIOS with AT or ATX power modes are standard, with Windows 11 and Linux support.

The EPX-TWLP-N150-A1R carries the Intel N150, a good fit for single-screen signage, kiosks and small control applications. The EPX-TWLP-N250-A1R carries the higher-tier Intel N250 for builds that want more processing in the same 6 W envelope. Memory, I/O, cooling and temperature rating are the same on both, so the choice comes down to how much processing headroom the application needs over its life.

Rear I/O includes two RJ45 ports on Intel I226V 2.5GbE controllers, two USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A ports and stacked DisplayPort and HDMI connectors, with a lockable 12 V DC jack. Internal headers add four USB 2.0 ports, one RS-232 port, one RS-232/422/485 port and 4-bit GPIO. The M.2 B-key socket in 2242 or 3042 size carries PCIe x1, USB 3.2 Gen 1 or SATA with a SIM slot for an SSD or 4G modem, an M.2 E-key 2230 socket takes Wi-Fi, and one SATA III port adds a 2.5″ drive.

Every EPX-TWLP board carries CE, FCC, UKCA and RoHS compliance, weighs 0.3 kg and handles 10 to 95% non-condensing humidity. The series suits digital signage networks, self-service kiosks, building controls and light industrial machines that run indoors and need a small, cool-running board.

Official Avalue USA Distributor

Things Embedded is an official Avalue USA distributor, supplying the EPX-TWLP series configured with DDR5 memory, M.2 storage, 4G or Wi-Fi modules and your OS image, fitted with the right cooling and tested before it ships. On the same 100 x 72 mm footprint, the EPX-ASLP offers an Intel N97 and an Atom x7433RE build rated from -40 to 80 °C, and the EPX-EHLP carries Intel Elkhart Lake processors. If the enclosure has room for a larger board, the EMX-TWLP brings Twin Lake processors to Thin Mini-ITX. We can advise on processor choice, display and panel selection, signage OS images and lifecycle planning for large fleets.

Compare the EPX-TWLP with our other Pico-ITX motherboards and Intel Processor N boards and systems, or browse Linux single board computers for signage and kiosk builds. Speak to our team about the number of players, the screens and the rollout schedule, and we will recommend a configuration that suits the fleet.
