AVerMedia C351W Mini PCIe 4-Channel Composite Capture Card with -40 to 85 °C

The C351W is AVerMedia's four-channel composite frame grabber on a Mini PCIe card, capturing NTSC at 720 x 480 and PAL at 720 x 576 on all four inputs at once, rated -40 °C to 85 °C. It suits in-vehicle, factory automation and medical systems that still run analog cameras and have a spare Mini PCIe slot.

  • Four Composite Inputs: Four composite video channels captured concurrently on one Mini PCIe card, plus a stereo L/R audio input.
  • -40 to 85 °C Operation: Rated from -40 °C to 85 °C in operation and -50 °C to 85 °C in storage, at 0% to 90% RH non-condensing.
  • NTSC and PAL Capture: NTSC at 720 x 480 and 29.97 Hz and PAL at 720 x 576 and 25 Hz, with smaller capture sizes also supported.
  • Mini PCIe at 1.13 W: A standard PCI Express Minicard drawing 1.13 W, suited to compact embedded PCs with a spare Mini PCIe slot.

C351W Overview

Analog cameras often stay in service on vehicles, production lines and medical equipment long after the computer behind them is replaced. The AVerMedia C351W lets a compact embedded PC take four of them on one Mini PCIe card, capturing four composite channels at once, and it is rated -40 °C to 85 °C. AVerMedia lists medical, industrial automation, factory automation and in-vehicle uses for the card.

Each channel captures NTSC at 720 x 480 and 29.97 Hz or PAL at 720 x 576 and 25 Hz, with smaller sizes down to 160 x 120 on NTSC and 180 x 144 on PAL where storage or bandwidth matters more than detail. Brightness, contrast, saturation and NTSC hue can be adjusted per source, and a stereo L/R audio input sits alongside the video. The C351W is DirectShow compatible, so it works with standard Windows capture software.

The card is a standard PCI Express Minicard drawing 1.13 W, which suits compact embedded PCs with a spare Mini PCIe slot. AVerMedia provides Windows drivers, with Linux drivers available through AVerMedia on request. For HDMI or SDI sources, the CN311-H and CN312MN are M.2 cards, and the CL311-M2 is a PCIe card that takes composite, S-Video and component video alongside HDMI.

The C351W is rated from -40 °C to 85 °C in operation and -50 °C to 85 °C in storage, at 0% to 90% RH non-condensing, with no certifications listed on the product page. We supply the C351W fitted and tested in the host computer it will run in, with drivers installed and all four channels checked before it ships.
