Axiomtek AX92325-2PoE 2 Port M12 IEEE802.3at Power Over Ethernet PCIe Card

The AX92325-2PoE is the two-port PoE build in the Axiomtek AX92325 series, a PoE frame grabber card with two Gigabit M12 X-coded ports and IEEE 802.3at PoE at up to 30 W per port on a PCI Express x4 interface. It suits vision and surveillance systems that power cameras over locking M12 cables.

  • Two M12 PoE Ports: Two Gigabit ports on M12 X-coded connectors carry data and power to cameras on locking cables.
  • IEEE 802.3at PoE: Each port delivers up to 30 W at 54 V DC, which covers powered cameras without separate injectors.
  • Three Power Options: PoE output reaches 20 W from the slot, 60 W with the 4-pin Molex or 120 W with the 6-pin ATX connector.
  • Intel i210-AT Per Port: Each port has its own Intel i210-AT controller with 9.5KB jumbo frames and IEEE 1588.
  • PoE Management: PoE power management software and smart on/off per LAN port allow a remote camera restart.

AX92325-2PoE Overview

A camera on a vibrating machine or a vehicle needs a connector that locks, and running separate power to it adds cost. The AX92325-2PoE is the two-port PoE build in the Axiomtek AX92325 series, a 1GigE PoE card with M12 X-coded connectors that Axiomtek designed for machine vision and surveillance systems. We fit it to the industrial PCs and embedded systems we build for customers.

The card carries two independent Gigabit PoE ports on M12 X-coded connectors. Each port has its own Intel i210-AT controller at 10/100/1000 Mbps, supporting 9.5KB jumbo frames and IEEE 1588. A patented connector design keeps the M12 connectors from taking up the space of other slots, and the host interface is PCI Express x4.

Each port is IEEE 802.3at compliant, delivering up to 30 W at 54 V DC. Total PoE output is 20 W from the PCIe slot, 60 W with the 4-pin Molex connector or 120 W with the 6-pin ATX power connector, so two full-power cameras need auxiliary power. PoE power management software and smart on/off per LAN port help with remote resets. The AX92325-4PoE doubles the powered ports, and the AX92325-2GbE drops PoE. Our guide to connecting M12 to RJ45 helps where cameras use RJ45 leads.

The ATX connector takes 12 V DC or 24 V DC, drawing 12 A at 12 V or 6 A at 24 V, and the PoE output has overload protection. The card operates from 0 to +60 °C with air flow and stores from -20 to +80 °C. It measures 168 x 111 mm and supports Windows 7 and 10 (32/64-bit).

Official Axiomtek USA Distributor

Things Embedded is an official Axiomtek USA distributor, supplying the AX92325-2PoE for USA machine vision and surveillance programs. Within the Axiomtek range the AX92325-4PoE powers four cameras on M12 connectors, and the AX92320-2GbE delivers the same PoE rating on two RJ45 ports.

With two powered M12 ports the AX92325-2PoE sits among our PoE PCIe cards, our machine vision frame grabbers and our add-in cards. Where two PoE cameras need locking M12 connections from one PCIe slot, this is the card to specify.
