Axiomtek GOT710S-837 10.4″ EN 50155 S3 Railway Panel PC with Intel Atom E3845 and 1000 Nit LCD

On rolling stock the supply can drop for a few milliseconds during switching, and a cab computer that reboots each time loses the operator’s view. The GOT710S-837 is Axiomtek’s 10.4 inch railway panel PC with EN 50155 Class S3 20 ms power interruption protection, an Intel Atom E3845 and a 1000 nit sunlight readable touch screen, and it is compliant with EN 50155.

The Intel Atom E3845 runs at up to 1.91 GHz with 4 GB of onboard DDR3L memory, 16 GB of onboard flash and an mSATA socket, which suits train operator status displays, speed, temperature and security monitoring and fleet management. Windows 10 IoT, Windows 10, 8/8.1 or 7 and WES7 are available as optional installs. The display is an SVGA LCD at 800 x 600 with a 1000 nit LED backlight, 160° viewing angles and auto-dimming, under 5-wire resistive touch. Keypad and no-keypad builds are offered, with keypads complying with UIC-612.

I/O is built for rail wiring: two isolated M12 X-coded Gigabit Ethernet ports, one M12 A-coded connector carrying two USB 2.0 ports and two isolated M12 A-coded RS-232/422/485 ports, plus an isolated DB9 CANbus port and a terminal-block DIO with six inputs and two outputs, all isolated to 1.5 kV. A DB15 connector carries line-in, mic-in and speaker-out or line-out, and two PCI Express Mini Card slots take optional 3G+GPS and Wi-Fi kits. The GOT710-837 is the same 10.4 inch design without Class S3 protection, and the GOT712S brings Class S3 to a 12.1 inch XGA screen.

Power is a typical 24 to 110 V DC on an M12 A-coded connector. The GOT710S-837 is fanless, operates from -40 °C to 70 °C at 10 to 95% humidity, and pairs an IP65 aluminum front bezel with IP40 rear protection. It is compliant with EN 50121-3-2, EN 61373 and EN 45545-2 and carries CE and FCC Class A marks. It measures 310 x 214 x 61.5 mm, weighs 2.6 kg and fits a 280 x 204 mm panel cut-out, a wall mount, VESA 100 or a suspension mount.
