DFI ADP253-ETI-80CR05E Intel Celeron 7305E 4″ x86 SBC with 9 to 36 V DC Input and -30 to 80 °C

Telemetry outstations at pumping stations, reservoirs and substations sit in small kiosks that swing from frost to summer heat, often with only a 12 or 24 V supply and a cellular link. The job is steady: poll serial instruments, log data and forward it to the control centre. The ADP253-ETI-80CR05E is the Celeron wide temperature build in the DFI ADP253 series of 4″ x86 SBCs, rated from -30 to 80 °C.

Its Intel Celeron 7305E (Alder Lake) runs five cores at 1.0 GHz within 15 W, which covers Modbus and DNP3 polling, logging and a VPN client without drawing more power than the kiosk supply allows. Memory is 8 GB of DDR4 soldered on the board plus one DDR4-3200 SO-DIMM slot taking up to 32 GB. Intel UHD graphics drive HDMI, VGA and two USB-C ports with DisplayPort Alt Mode, so a service engineer can connect a screen on site.

Six COM ports (two RS-232/422/485 and four RS-232) take RTUs, flow meters and level sensors, and 8-bit DIO shared with COM3 reads alarm contacts or drives a relay. One 2.5GbE port and two GbE ports on Intel I226 separate the instrument network from the site network and an uplink. The M.2 B-key with SIM takes a 4G or 5G module for backhaul, the M.2 E-key takes Wi-Fi, and the M.2 M-key and SATA 3.0 port take storage. Two USB 3.2 Type-A ports and two USB 2.0 headers complete the I/O.

The ADP253-ETI-80CR05E runs from 9 to 36 V DC on a locking barrel jack or 4-pin connector and operates fanless from -30 to 80 °C. It carries CE, FCC, UKCA and RoHS compliance, a discrete TPM 2.0 and a watchdog timer that resets the board from 1 to 255 seconds. For more processing at the same grade, ADP253-ETI-80I315UE uses the six-core Core i3; for an indoor panel, ADP253-BCI-80CR05E is the -5 to 65 °C version.
